    The pope didn't even try to preach the good news in all its glory to comfort the boy. Telling the boy that his father did something good by having the children baptized is nice but what's better is preaching that Jesus died for forgiveness of sin! Nowhere does it say the boy or the crowd refused...

    Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? It is never wrong to preach the Gospel in all its glory.

What the pope said was to the boy but also to the world...the living...and the living need to hear the Gospel message which speaks of...

    I haven't gone on a picnic in a long time and with my daughter and niece coming to visit I thought it would be a nice thing. Fresh fruit is always a plus to have but I wasn't sure what else to put in besides sandwiches.

    I've been up since 4:45AM! LOL I made french toast for my husband for his breakfast and of course started the pot of coffee too and then got out the bigger coffee pot because my daughter and niece will be visiting starting tomorrow! I like International Delights Caramel Macchiato in my coffee.

    My personal objection is there is absolutely no mention of Jesus Christ the Savior which should have had some say when considering salvation of any man.

    I think what people are defending here is that no man will enter heaven by doing an act...such as baptizing his children. Did the man have faith or not is something none of us can answer.

    It's important to note that Jesus was speaking to those who already were waiting for the promised Messiah and it's far different for him to talk to them about "will" than someone who has never heard the Gospel message. God had already acted in His people bringing them to faith and we see that...
