    This is true but your op makes it appear as if faith is something that we are working at instead of it being a gift from God. Faith doesn't emanate from within us. Jesus is the author and perfecter of our faith.

    That's good to question instead of following blindly. There are times when writers of articles and blogs are turning away from Lutheran beliefs and their new beliefs start seeping through! It does happen!!

    Lutherans believe we are covered by Jesus and His righteousness. Our judgment concerning how we treated others is based upon His righteousness therefore. In other words, any sin we commit by not doing or doing (toward our neighbor) is atoned for and God has already judged it on the cross where...

    I'd like to see the priests all named and called to repentance publicly for their sins against their victims. Maybe if things weren't so hushed that there would be more fear of being found out...so it might happen less.
