Does Government have the right to force someone to marry homosexuals?

"Yet I hesitate to pronounce a condemnation upon those who do because condemnation really is in the power of God alone." Your words. so I disagree with that statement.

What is it about yourself that makes you believe that you're saved?

How can you put under scrutiny the faith of others without allowing yours to be scrutinized.

    The bread of life.

So, what do you believe that Jesus meant when he said "I am the bread of life."

What is it about yourself that makes you believe that you're saved?

I was simply placing your basis of assurance under scrutiny.

Does Government have the right to force someone to marry homosexuals?

I am disagreeing with you stance of not expressing our condemnation on those who call themselves shepherd, but who lead their charges into deception

    Mother of God

Pay careful attention to my words, Mary was Jesus' mother because she obeyed her Lord. She is the greatest woman in the history of mankind. Her obedience inspires our obedience. But our walk of faith is not enhanced by the adding of titles. By Jesus words, I can claim just as easily the title of...

    The bread of life.

OK. Jesus said he was the bread of life. What does that mean? When we speak of spiritual things, we speak equivocally, not univocally. We use the words that best describes what we speak of. So he wasn't saying that he was bread, made from flour. The simplest equivocal meaning was bread as the...

What is it about yourself that makes you believe that you're saved?

My concern for you was based upon your original posts. I know that you trust in the authority of your church, so I advised you to seek out assurance from that authority. You obviously do care about why I am assured of my salvation or you would not place it under such scrutiny. Whether for you...

    Mother of God

"But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, "Who is My mother and who are My brothers?" And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, "Behold My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother."...

Does Government have the right to force someone to marry homosexuals?

I disagree. If I perform a wedding ceremony over what is not a covenant marriage, then I defraud the participants by assuring them of God's blessing over what is a sinful relationship. If I stand silently, I give assent to that and participate in that deception.

    The bread of life.

Just as physical bread give life to our physical body, so our Bread of Life (Jesus) gives us eternal, spiritual life.

What is it about yourself that makes you believe that you're saved?

So, here is the loop that you are trapped in: You want to know what makes you more sure of my salvation than those who have "fallen away", but you must do so without specifically applying the promises of the Word of God, nor trusting in your relational experience with God. I would advise you to...

    Mother of God

If I am a servant of God, and if, in the course of that service, he uses me as a bookkeeper, then I am the Bookkeeper of God. The arguments made for assigning this title is exactly this. She was Jesus' Mother, this is the manner in which she served God. So, I am the bookkeeper of God.

Can your bible make you into a bigot and a 'jerk'?

I feel that I must address the original post that started this thread. "I objected to the proposed rule reasoning that I will not allow bible verses or the official pronouncements of my Church or the rules of the forum to turn me into a bigot. In brief, in a slogan like phrase, I will not...

    Once saved always saved?

Having observed carefully the discussions, I think everyone knows who discusses in good faith. But our love for one another must allow forgiveness and kindness and our trust of the Holy Spirit must assure us that He can speak where our voice is not heard.

    Mother of God

I am a bit ambivalent about this. Calling Mary, perhaps the greatest woman in human history, "Mother of God" strikes me in the same way as me being the Bookkeeper of God.

    Biblical "good"

I realize that this is not addressed to me, but I wanted to grab something that you had said. I enjoy very much discussing these kinds of issues and have enjoyed, so far, our conversation. I know that we have different starting points and that it is likely that we will not come to an agreement...

What is it about yourself that makes you believe that you're saved?

What makes me sure I am saved: Subjectively, the Holy Spirit in me. Objectively: the Word of God.

I think that Fiorina and Rubio benefited most. Bush and Christie some.
