    The free will of God.

One of the most neglected topics of theology is the free will of God. God is not obligated to anything outside Himself. His grace, love and forgiveness are all given because he chooses, not simply the uncontrolled reflexes of deity.

Our fellowship alone worldwide is 67 billion. The cooperative agreements would put the figure above 200 million. So I think that we can safely say many.

A few things atheists are not...

I have found that there are many different personality types of people and that is reflected among atheists. 1. The practical atheist. Not a major issue of their world view, they simply live there lives as if there is no God. 2. The philosophical atheist. this one has given a lot of thought to...

Is the Reformation to blame for Mariology abuse?

I think that there is a logical paradigm. Since Mariolatry would be almost unique to Catholicism, and since the Reformation was a break from Catholicism, the Reformation would not cause the oversteppings of Mariology.

Pentecostals are the largest Protestant group, so that alone qualifies as many. In addition you will find that Baptists feel this almost universally. I believe that as a Pentecostal, I have a clear idea what they would believe, just as you might have a clear view of Catholicism.

    Biblical "good"

In the parable, God says to those on the left, "I never knew you." Salvation is relational. That relationship is freely given, but there is no other "door" to heaven. That does not mean that goodness has no effect. I believe those who are truly seeking goodness, will have opportunity to...

    I quite agree.

So the controversy, in the end, is that many Protestants view the title as a form of idolatry.

    Once saved always saved?

All things created bear, in some degree, the mark of their maker. I agree that there is something unique in man, nevertheless, the angels are occasionally used as example to us. In this case, I am astonished that anyone who stand in His Presence, to the degree that they stand in His presence...

    A Rant: Protestants and Catholics

Much of the difficulty, in my observation, is the way that we address one another. We can disagree very sharply, yet choose to address those issues directly but kindly. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as Christ has forgiven you."

    Don't know what to think.

Give them a chance. If, after five weeks, you are uncomfortable, go and tell the pastor that you are not the right fit for this band of believers. One flock, many bands. This is not a doctrinal issue, but a mini-cultural issue.

    Once saved always saved?

In this debate, often the missing element is the free will of God. Our free will, is an extension of God exercising His free will. He is omnipotent, able to both perfectly accomplish all that He chooses, while allowing free will. I believe that our exercise of free will is a result of the imago...

Numbers in the bible...yet numerology is bad!

Numerology and Astrology become idolatry when you seek their guidance, rather than observational, they become directional. When yuou are reading scripture and you come across a number, most of the time it is just history. Some numbers are obviously purposeful in meaning: sevens, twelves, forties...

Does Government have the right to force someone to marry homosexuals?

[B]For the under-shepherd, the issue is different than for the lay person. The under-shepherd who conducts a same sex marriage is defrauding the couple by blessing a relationship. My comments were particularly aimed toward them.[B]
