Can babies be conscious of their baptism?

The apostles didn't preach to little babies, Jesus had ascended and it was required that the people be baptised for the remission of sin, there was no outline on at what age the next generation (those about to be born or already infants) should be baptised. They do however preach to children so...

Can babies be conscious of their baptism?

I'll take that. I ponder sometimes about how I 'thought' as a newborn, if I really thought much at all or not... but because my memory only goes so far back I really don't know how aware or conscious I was, I don't remember leaping into my mothers belly. I do remember getting my diapers...

Can babies be conscious of their baptism?

Well they aren't 'unconscious' but an infant is ignorant of everything just about except for being hungry, thirsty and tired. I do not believe that a baby is aware that he or she was born into sin, how can a baby repent and be baptised then? A forced infant baptism before receiving the word is...

Is Immersion required by Scripture when a baptism is performed?

I had no agenda in posting the video just thought it bazaar is all, but infant baptism probably has to do more with the babys parents being overly paranoid, its ok as long as they know later on they were baptised, i believe you should be conscious of it personally.

Is Immersion required by Scripture when a baptism is performed?

Nvrmnd. Edit: I believe the argument is about if it means "submersed" or not. If you were born Catholic at least your head will get into heaven, Achillis' heel type situation.

    Atheism ...

Socrates was poisoned with hemlock because he was an atheist, Athenian law prescribed it, but think about it, back then being an atheist was the label you got if you didnt surrender to the 'many' gods. This was pre-Christian era and he wasn't Jewish, you couldnt be adopted into Judaism and you...

Is Immersion required by Scripture when a baptism is performed?

The Jordan river is symbolic as well, it literally has life giving waters as opposed to the dead sea where nothing can live (with the exception a of certain living organism but I forget what it was), so imo water is purely symbolic in baptism -simply symbolic meaning 'washing away' or 'cleansed'...

Do you think a God who drowns innocent babies from ppl before the flood is loving?

I thought Satan was cast down before Adam and Eve were created? I also heard that the serpent was made on the 6th day so these theories always spin me about. I can't discredit the belief that Lucifer was cast down first, but throw the word "GAP theory" into it and it becomes a hoax. Satan was...
