    What’s the mistake? Haven’t you read the book of Daniel? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were originally named Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah before their names were changed. Do you have any legitimate accusations against Maccabees that actually make sense?

    What’s the mistake? Hananiah, Azariah, and Mishael were their original names before they were changed to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. Daniel also has his name changed to Belteshazzar. Are you seriously suggesting that Maccabees is mistaken because it calls them by their original names...

    Seriously? Circumcision is what you’re focused on? What about the fact that Daniel prophesies about Alexander the Great defeating the Persians? That’s what 1 Maccabees says. The early church declared this to be scripture.
