What's something not many people know about you?

That I was Elvis in my past life. Also many people don't realize how vivid and sharp my memories are, especially those who watched me grow up, I dunno but im sure it's unnatural to remember crawling on the floor and getting your pampers changed lol even describing in detail my experiences from...

Is Baptism Just an Inert Outward Symbol?

You're right, I'm not afraid to change my mind about what I once considered.. I used to be a unitarian until good conversation here help give me an understanding outside of what my church was teaching. Baptism beliefs don't really bother me, I'm not putting all of my eggs in one basket with this...

Is Baptism Just an Inert Outward Symbol?

I agree with you but in another thread scripture is silent on THAT subject (infant baptism). I believe in believers baptism just like I described earlier, I believe 'BE baptised' is not the same as 'GET baptised', Repent and BE baptised (covered) but I have no problem with the ritual of getting...

Is Baptism Just an Inert Outward Symbol?

The majority of the baptism topics in my opinion, when relating to scriptural detail, remain inconclusive for the most part. When scripture remains silent on a theological matter perhaps we should remind ourselves of what scripture warns us about needles debates, it's unwise and unhealthy for us...

Is Baptism Just an Inert Outward Symbol?

As long as the topic focuses on something other than exactly what is going on in another thread we allow off shoot branches to emphasise something apart from the other threads. It's turning into a big tree I know but feel free to pick and choose which one you want to address just as long as it...

Is infant baptism from the Bible?

Ever tried baptising a cat? ;) Seriously though, household means immediate "family", in particular a Christian family based on Christian principles. Many families are losing their generations to secular mainstream culture which is at full strength today, Godspeed! Not sure if water is enough...

Is infant baptism from the Bible?

I agree. From my experience I recall no memory of a baptism as an infant, it was said that I received it but I don't recall any such thing. Whatever happened then did not hinder me from repenting my former sins later on and going along with church custom by again being baptised in public. This...

Is infant baptism from the Bible?

I know the thief on the cross was no baby, yet he spent his whole life without being baptised, all he did was repent even though he was kind of incapable of stealing at that moment, but he repented, and Jesus told him that he would go to paradise. Just my two cents

Recovery of sight to the blind

Exactly, he quoted the pre Christian Hebrew sources, the Masoretic is a post Christian Hebrew source for Jews who reject Jesus to use to declare loud and bold that the NT is not inspired. Simply stating fact.

Recovery of sight to the blind

Jesus must have been so good at memorizing Hebrew text that he quotes verbatim what Hebrew text says, which includes "and recovery of sight to the blind", he also went to Synagogues and spread open Hebrew scrolls that in His time would have read "and recovery of sight to the blind" because there...

Recovery of sight to the blind

Well the NT in the KJV is accurate, the Old Testament in the KJV seems to come from a different Hebrew source and not the same Hebrew source that Stephen the Martyr and the Septuagint agree together on.

Recovery of sight to the blind

But Joseph is not included for he was already in Egypt, he called for Jacob and his household, who were 75 according to Acts

The Apocrypha: Does it belong in the Bible?

You are forgetting that the Masoretic canon is a post Septuagint and post Christian era Christ-rejecting-Jewish canon of ALL scripture. What this means is that these Jews are calling ALL New Testament books UNINSPIRED thus John the baptist NOR Jesus is even worthy enough to be called PROPHETS...

The Apocrypha: Does it belong in the Bible?

I listed Psalms :) I even added books that are already part of other books but Psalm 151 is NOT a book, you asked for BOOKS lol Anyway I'll respond to the other question sometime later this evening

U.S. Episcopal Church Shrinking Over Same-Sex Marriage

What a sticky situation, but to be fair, a pile of rubble is much better than the priest being burned at the stake like how it used to be! Gay marriage seems to benefit their income rather than be defined by God, two outlets or inputs produce nothing, that's not being homophobic its just simple...
