Excerpt Three
Enoch 67:1–2
In those days, the word of God came unto me, and said unto me, “Noah, your lot has come up before me—a lot without blame, a lot of true love. At this time the angels are working with wood (making an ark) and when it is completed, I shall place my hands upon it and...
The very first thing I noticed was this demonstrably false claim.
After all, out of the oldest copies of the Greek Septuagint, all of them contained these
books. Whether it’s Codex Vaticanus from the 4th century, or Codex Alexandrinus from
the 5th century, or Codex Sinaiticus from the 4th...
Hardly! It is fact.
Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness that they have ocommitted in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh...
I agree with the scholarly consensus. If you can prove all them of wrong, then by all means do. However, it still would not change the fact your claim is completely false. You said "Paul made it clear that he was quoting someone else’s literature, not the Bible." Nowhere in 1 Cor. 15:29-34...
I never said he didn't mention his name.
Again I never claimed otherwise.
First, a close analysis reveals those quotes have significant differences. Second, Jude never clams it come from the book of 1 Enoch.
Yes I know. That was my point in regard to your claim is blatantly false...
Exactly! Judes references a specific prophecy made by Enoch, certainly not the book of 1 Enoch. As I have pointed out Nathan's claim that the quote is "word-for-word verbatim" is completely FALSE.
He references a specific prophecy made by Enoch.
Yes, that is the point.
You said "Paul made it clear that he was quoting someone else’s literature, not the Bible." Nowhere in the above passage does Paul make "it clear he was quoting someone else’s literature." Thus your claim is blatantly...
He doesn't. That's the point.

Jude quotes a prophecy given by the person named Enoch. Jude no where mentions the book of Enoch.
Moreover, as I have pointed out, the two quotes have very notable differences.
Ἰδοὺ ἦλθεν κύριος ἐν ἁγίαις μυριάσιν αὐτοῦ ποιῆσαι κρίσιν κατὰ πάντων καὶ ἐλέγξαι πᾶσαν ψυχὴν...
Excerpt Two
Enoch 7:1-5
And the women became pregnant and bore great giants of three thousand cubits, who devoured the labors of people. And when the people were not able to sustain them, the giants dared (to attack) them, and they devoured the people. And they began to sin with birds and wild...
I am betting that most people have never read 1 Enoch. So I thought I might post some excerpts for critical examination.
Excerpt One
Enoch 19:-1-2
And Uriel said to me, ‘Here angels who have mingled with women stand, and their multiform spirits are mistreating humans and they will deceive them...
Again I did not quote those passages. That is just another one of your pitiful attempts to divert attention.
Again I quoted 1 Cor. 15:29-34. Here Paul simply says "'Do not be deceived: "'Bad company ruins good morals.'" That's it. He does NOT, as you falsely claimed, "made it clear that he was...

No, they were flat out wrong if Jude believed 1 Enoch was canonical.
Jude never makes that claim. Clearly the councils of Hippo and Carthage did not believe it was canonical since they did not include it in their canon list, and they certainly knew of Jude.
That really does nothing to help...
