    Was Adam's chest covered?

Interesting - I was going to post again to ponder whether Eve's chest was covered. It's easy to assume that what happened in a Bible story aligns with our western norms, when that may not be the case.

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

I tried a new pair of shoes for running today. I bought two pairs - the intention was that one pair would be my new running shoes and the other would be my go-to casual sneakers. One pair is identical to my existing running shoes, the other is a new pair that I haven't used before. I figured if...

    Was Adam's chest covered?

There's no way of knowing - the text doesn't tell us. As you say some cultures don't regard the female breast as being sexual, and in those cultures women don't cover their tops. Small children often run around with no clothes on at all - to them no part of their body is sexual. My friend's...

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

My suggested workout today is sprint repeats. I hope the rain holds off enough that I have any desire to do sprint repeats, it's been several days since I did anything particularly intense.

    Christians spend too much time...

Very true. As Metallica wrote in their song "Holier than thou": Before you judge me take a look at you Can't you find something better to do? Point the finger, slow to understand Arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

Got some light running in and a lot of walking. Lots of gloomy weather which isn't great for running, not least because I overheat in anything waterproof. But I can walk, so I still get steps in.

I'm more concerned about how often they get it wrong, although there is a certain irony when the modern day profits "prophets" seem to make so much, well, profit.

    Chiropractors

No personal experience but some years ago a friend of mine visited one. He said the treatments hurt, sometimes a lot, but they helped him a lot.

    Falling for April Fool's Jokes?

I don't often fall for them because I'm on high alert on April 1. I did have to double-take some years ago at a newspaper headline showing Queen Elizabeth going into a betting shop. There's a reason Royal Ascot got its name, but I didn't expect to see her going into a betting shop to place bets...

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

I took another walk yesterday. Nothing particularly fast but it felt warm and muggy, and I got home sweatier than I got after running in the cooler weather we've had more recently.

I wouldn't recommend anyone read Bob Jones or John Paul Jackson.

Prayer Request Thread - March 2025

I've got one of those too. Without going into inappropriate detail on a public board a situation is developing that could turn into something very good, but also has the potential to go sideways in a big way. Wisdom, guidance etc would be really useful things to have about now.

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

Two walks yesterday, one cut short by rain. So for the second one I took a shorter route to pick up where I left off and did the rest of my regular loop. The end result was more like 7 miles of walking all in, some of it in the rain and much of it in the twilight. Today's suggested workout is a...

How can I find a church home?

When you say you can't find something over the internet are you saying you can't find a church that live streams, or you can't find a church near you that has an internet presence? Unless it's the only workable option I really don't like the idea of live streaming church services. If you...

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

No idea, I just sweat easily when I'm exercising. I suspect it's down to being reluctant to buy technical clothing because it's expensive and I don't want to spend that kind of money until my body shape is more stable - the combination of tummy getting smaller and muscles getting bigger...

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

I struggle with overheating, although one advantage of running is that people expect sweat. It's a bit odd when I'm walking in the winter and still sweating.

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

Day out with a friend today so my walk had to wait until this evening. It's fun walking in the dark. I carry a light with me so I can be seen if a car approaches but there's very little traffic on the back roads so for the most part I can walk without it. There's enough light from the moon to...

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

It's been far too long since I went for a hike in the woods, so today was the day I reset the counter back to zero. It was a bit breezy but otherwise conditions were good, sunny and warm enough without being too warm. My fitness has obviously improved since my last hike because I was clocking...

    Lämmchen's Workout Thread

Friday I did 4 miles of speed repeats. The plan was to do six miles but it was too soon after lunch so I bailed at 4 and walked the last part. Today I did 5 miles of sprint repeats. Again I wanted to do six miles but my legs hit the point they had nothing left to give so I walked the last part...
