    Ask George!

Skype is software for text chatting, voice chatting, and video chatting. Skype can also be used to telephone somebody (but you have to pay for the telephone call). Microsoft owns the Skype software now. I use it to keep in touch with people overseas ... rather good for that.

    Tithing

Generosity to the poor and needy is not in question. The tithe that people typically pay is paid into their meeting's general funds and what becomes of it after that is up to the people who look after church finances. A lot will go to wages some to building maintenance, a lot of mortgages, some...

    Tithing

Many people claim that "God says so" even the local Kingdom Hall elder (one of Jehovah's witnesses) tell me that when he explains their doctrines. I doubt claims like that unless they have convincing evidence to back them up. If passages from the old testament are what you rely upon for the...

    Why was Mary necessary?

Yes, the blessed virgin Mary is mother of the Lord Jesus Christ meaning that she is mother of the whole person of our Lord. Thus Blessed Mary is mother of the man, Jesus Christ. He is a man born of a woman and he is God born before all ages yet he is one person not two and it is his whole person...

    Infant Baptism

There's nothing quite as distracting from an unbiblical doctrine as actually reading what is written in holy scripture and your reply is one of the most eloquent statements of that principle. You could, of course, silence all opposition to your doctrine by showing us exactly which passage or...

    Why was Mary necessary?

If you work hard enough and say it often enough you'll manage to convince yourself that the Blessed Virgin Mary doesn't matter but holy scripture will still say that she is Blessed among women and that the fruit of her womb is holy.

    Infant Baptism

The verses mentioned in post #78 (none were cited in #79) are listed below. Does any of them or all of them taken together teach that "baptism was the final seal of a commitment made to God"? No? That's right, not one of them teaches that "baptism was the final seal of a commitment made to God"...

    Infant Baptism

Okay, you have nothing from holy scripture that teaches what you believe about baptism. Nothing that says baptism is "about obedience" and nothing that says that baptism is "the final seal of a commitment made to God". Got it. Next topic.

    Infant Baptism

It appears that as people focus more and more on their role and their faith then baptism becomes about them. Once people decide that baptism is about them then they reason that infants are ineligible. That is why the meaning of baptism was stated to be "about obedience" and why it was said to...
