    the meaning of Baptism

The bible never says "baptism symbolises being born from above" it says Titus 3:5-7 And he saved us, not by works of justice that we had done, but, in accord with his mercy, by the washing of regeneration and by the renovation of the Holy Spirit, (6) whom he has poured out upon us in abundance...

    Justification or Sanctification Differences

Modified as shown above I agree with your post. Doing good is good. Doing wicked things is wicked. There's no value in being "saved" if all that means is that a person mouthed the words of the sinner prayer and then went on through the rest of their life saying "I believe in Jesus Christ as my...

    the meaning of Baptism

Why? Nobody is finished being saved the moment they are baptised. And baptism is a once only thing. If you needed to be baptised every time you "came to the Lord" then you may as well live in a bath! :smirk:

    Justification or Sanctification Differences

Titus 3:1-11 Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, (2) to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. (3) At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by...

    the meaning of Baptism

Yes they do. The vast majority of Christians through time were Catholic and did baptise babies and did use water poured over their head as the water of baptism. All easily verified.

    the meaning of Baptism

The vast Majority of Christians throughout history agree that babies ought to be baptised and that pouring water is just fine and that being a Catholic is the "right thing to do". :smirk:

    the meaning of Baptism

Yes, I gave a lovely definition quite a while ago :) Holy Scripture tells Christians what Baptism is and what it means. Romans 6:3-9 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptised into Christ Jesus were baptised into his death? (4) We were buried therefore with him by baptism into...

    the meaning of Baptism

You really need to get over being afraid of good works done in God's grace. Really you do. It is not wicked to do good as God leads you. It's good. Stop being afraid of goodness. I was baptised by a pastor so it was not my work to baptise - the pastor did the work and I was the passive...

    the meaning of Baptism

God taught me paedobaptism. I was even baptised a Lutheran! But I got better :smirk: No, no no. Not what God has already done. Rather it is what God is doing at the moment of baptism. The holy scriptures teach that baptism unites to Christ in his death, burial, and resurrection (Romans...

    the meaning of Baptism

Well Albion, sometimes it is helpful to put forward a silly argument to illustrate how silly one's interlocutor's argument is (it being based on the same "solid foundation" as one's silly argument). It's just not possible, in my experience, to persuade a credobaptist to even acknowledge the...
