So... What are YOU doing? - Part 5

Finding out I didn't get a position that I have 16 YEARS EXPERIENCE doing. They were looking for full time AND casual employees. NONE. DIDN'T GET IT. The world can take a leap

    Justification - Part 2

We are Justified by God, through faith in the life, death, and resurrection of His Son. This "faith" is wholly a work of God in our hearts, which enables the sinner to "repent and believe". Further, we are enabled by the Holy Spirit to carry out the work of God in the world. Woof Woof :)

    Justification - Part 2

Well, 40 years, fire and clouds, Manna, all the instructions, and only two make it. I suppose we're right on course.

    Justification - Part 2

Earlier I'd said it was a moderate paraphrase, and I gave a link. There are others as well from Google. It's toward a more liberal end of a "functional equivalent". I do look these things up, as opposed to grasping out of the air. I have. As I said, I frequently reference it. Anything can be...

    Justification - Part 2

Scholars work on many things, but if the mandate is to produce a paraphrase, that's what is produced. Many Scholars also worked on the current NIV, but there have been objections there as well. Anyway, this is a rabbit trail of sorts

    Justification - Part 2

The "New Living Translation" (NLT) is the only one in my search that uses "chosen". It's a moderate paraphrase version. I sometimes read it for clarity, or for reference. It can be useful at times, but I rely on NASB or ESV primarily...

    Justification - Part 2

Many in history have had radical changes, even to their personality - become wholly different. But the faith in Christ that is evidence (there's that darn word...) of repentance toward God is wholly missing. God was not impressed with Bill W. and Dr. Bob of A.A. when they radically changed their...

You'd be surprised. (sorry for the rabbit trail - back to topic...)

Will your aluminium hat protect you from the aliens?

Just curious, your present hat - better or worse than tin? And how effective is the rifle? Remember what you're up against. That kid has sand!
