What are you eating? - Part 2

Today, we enjoyed turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and rolls. My mother can certainly cook ( must be in the McDonald genes. Her dad was a good cook, too).

    Doubts in my Church

An excellent testimony and admittedly similar to my own, although not exactly the same. I was born and raised in a Southern Baptist Church, that I found void of tradition and more interested in proving things " scientifically" than taking things on faith ( this was before the fundamentalists...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 5

I'd just got home from Divine Service ( it was a Thanksgiving Eve Service complete with the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper). I attended that right after I got off from work. It's been quite a good day. :)

    The war of 1812

Well, then there was the Treaty of Ghent. Apparently, the Americans and the British went from a state of mutual hostility to a state of friendship with that treaty. Who benefited more? The Americans, surely. It was a stepping stone for them to become a major superpower on the world stage.

    The war of 1812

Well, they do. It's obviously a loaf of bread, but its position might not be the most tactful.

    Should Australia become a Republic?

Putting American politics aside for just a moment ( if I may), here's a link encapsulating some reasons that Australia might well be better off as a Republic: https://independentaustralia.net/australia/australia-display/the-case-for-an-australian-republic,3989.

    Happy Thanksgiving!!

It is. Thanksgiving isn't Thanksgiving without the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and hot biscuits that go with it. Of course, it all must be topped off with pumpkin pie and whipped cream. :lick:

    Now, For Something Completely Different

So, it's that arid in Perth? It sounds like you might not be that far away from the Outback? Imalive, I tend to agree that our baptism incorporates us into the Body of Christ, as it is God doing the baptizing through the Word and the water.

    My Thankful Thread

I'm grateful to MoreCoffee, IACOBVS, and Imalive for teaching me more about their countries than I would have known by reading a hundred history books about them.
