How many of you are dating or looking for a significant other?

If I was going on a first date, I would dress nicely of my own accord...however if I was told I must dress a certain way, I would call it off and keep looking. :)

whats the weather like where you live?

Here's a thought...the next time it gets hot, try going INSIDE to escape the heat and keep cool! Through the process of trial and error, I have found this works better. ;)

    What's on Your Mind?

Yes, I'm all for indentation of code for readability, and I use it without fail...however, I expect to see braces as well, and it looks naked without them...but I am sure I could get used to it. :D I also like line breaks above and below if and looping constructs to set them apart visually.

    What's on Your Mind?

I find Python's lack of curly braces to be disconcerting! :scared:

whats the weather like where you live?

You may be onto something there...I raced outside and began furiously digging a deep trench for fun, and an unpleasant feeling soon washed over me and I had to stop.

Do black holes have a back door?

Yes, I can see and appreciate the difference between personal convictions and evidence that can be considered as objective and compelling/irrefutable to all. One doesn't necessarily need irrefutable evidence for personal beliefs, this is only required when trying to convince others who don't...

Do black holes have a back door?

Well, I don't consider Christianity to be a bare assertion in the same sense that if someone I knew made some claim without evidence that I had never heard before, and that I can't verify it for myself...I would just have to trust him. That kind of claim I could dismiss without much struggle...

Do black holes have a back door?

I can't say I find it frustrating...it's simply a claim that I reject because that is the default position. :)

Do black holes have a back door?

Then that wold negate the premise that everything has to have a cause. If we exclude one entity from requiring causation, then we can logically exclude others. However, I do understand that God is said to exist outside of the causal order. I do believe that the universe has a cause, but I think...

    My Choice for President

I don't know enough about it either to say if setting up kingdoms is a fundamental part of Islam. It just appears to me that the problem isn't the religion per se, but the marriage of it with government. It doesn't actually bother me either too much (although it does serve to remind me I'm a...

Do black holes have a back door?

But that's just another baton passing (into a hypothesis with no supporting theoretical framework)...where did the speaker come from? Who spoke the speaker into existence? And then who spoke the speakers' speaker into existence...ad infinitum?

Do black holes have a back door?

Yes, there are still enough unanswered questions left in science to keep us busy for weeks! :D

    My Choice for President

Yes, it is the integration of church and state within the Muslim theocracies that is the problem, and not Islam itself. It wasn't until such integration began that the blossoming intellectual hub in the Middle East was strangled. If we do see a Muslim majority here, then of course I would...

    What are you eating?

I had 6 over medium eggs on top of 4 fried julienned taters and toast with strawberry preserves. I'm stuffed. :D

Please...call me Mark. :D Well, to put it briefly, mathematics is the language in which the laws of nature (physics) are written, but even without its HUGE number of applications, pure mathematics is beautiful in its own right. A beautiful theorem can be just as moving as a work of art or a...
