30,000 posts and a new feature!

You know what? Before coins were invented people traded goods and amassing great wealth was difficult because most goods that mattered were perishable but coins had a kind of 'eternity' to them so people could amass them and Greed could take over ... I think that is why the holy scriptures warn...

Did the Catholic Church change the sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday?

Okay. Here's a section from the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Article 3 THE THIRD COMMANDMENT Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labour, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work.90 The sabbath...

Was the blood moon experience a disappointment?

The blood moon views of John Hagee and some others who had similar views is erroneous and any Christians who decides to follow his teaching on such matters are following false teaching. I'd say it is a serious matter but very few who follow it would agree. They evidently think that false...

    Birth control

Josiah, I saw you rant against Catholic teaching in many threads before so seeing it again in this thread is expected. For the most part I think your anti-Catholicism posts are poor use of time and bandwidth. But you seem unwilling to stop. Let's stick to the topic of birth control and leave the...

Did the Catholic Church change the sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday?

The Catholic Church did not change the day on which the Sabbath falls. That's a Seventh Day Adventist myth that others from messianic groups seem willing to swallow. The Catholic Church teaches that the Sabbath day never changed. I'd quote from the Catechism of the Catholic Church and from the...

    Infant Baptism

Most of them were so "wise" that they remained Jews after saint Paul left. There's no record of any apostolic church in that town. Long afterwards a a church was founded there but no apostolic letter to them was preserved. The Thessalonians on the other hand whose Jewish people were criticised...

    Infant Baptism

I know plenty of infants who confess the Lord Jesus Christ with their mouth and believe it in their heart and they make it obvious and clear. It takes a little patience to recognise it. But Jesus said that "I assure you that whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never...

    Birth control

Another rant against the Catholic Church. Oh dear. You really do have a great deal of difficulty sticking to the topic without injecting personal views about the Catholic Church. The topic is birth control not how much you dislike this or that thing that the Catholic Church teaches. I'd ask you...

Did the Catholic Church change the sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday?

They came together after the Sabbath had ended. Perhaps in the night, perhaps during the day but definitely on the day after the Sabbath which the Jews called the first day of the week and we call Sunday.

    Infant Baptism

Where does holy scripture say that? It's just your opinion. It has no special value to anybody but you and those unfortunates who believe that same errors. The truth is far more liberating than your opinions. Baptism saves God's people and their age doesn't make any difference. Young and old...

    Why was Mary necessary?

Okay, you ought to have said so at the start, but if that is true then why do you have a "charismatic" religion icon next to your avatar cat?

    Why was Mary necessary?

Balderdash? Holy scripture is not balderdash. Try reading John 1:1, 14, 18; Acts 1:14. It'll do you good.

    Why was Mary necessary?

I hear from God daily but I never hear God talking gibberish like many Charismatic folk talk. Reckon that folk who stumble at calling Blessed Mary the mother of God (because she is the mother of Jesus and Jesus is God) need lessons in basic English and basic logic.

    Why was Mary necessary?

You talk religion a lot, and superstition a lot too. Your religion is full of worldly opinions and invented traditions it doesn't give much appearance of walking with God.

The Beroeans were Jews I am not aiming to change my faith to Judaism. If you have only a phone to use then you can give the chapter and verse, no need to quote.
