    Ruth's Friendship Fellowship-everyone welcome-come on in! Part 3

Wow, Ruth...that is so strange, because a few days ago for the first time I know of, I had a bat in my house too! :o What drew my attention to it was the fact that my cats were going crazy trying to catch it as it flew around in circles. I opened my front door and was able to "guide" it out...

    Potato Chips?

I once suggested to some of my nieces and nephews they might want to try that, that I had fun doing that as a kid, and they looked up from their iPhones at me like I had stupidly suggested they do something outside. :( That sounds like a great idea!

    Potato Chips?

We found as kids that the Pringles "can" made an excellent phone, along with monofilament fishing line. :D

    Potato Chips?

Yes, at least within 1 order of magnitude. :glasses:

    Potato Chips?

I might have exaggerated a wee bit there...it just may very well be that I didn't realize Pringles are hyperboloidal until I studied multi-variable calculus. :P

    Potato Chips?

I loved Pringles when I was a kid...I would say, "Look Mommy! It's a hyperboloidal sheet! If I draw a triangle on it, the sum of the triangle's interior angles is LESS than 180°!" And then I would shove it in my face with a contented grin. She'd smile and shake her head. Now I prefer kettle...

    I think I saw a bobcat?

At the Jacksonville zoo, they have an exhibit that invites you in to take a look at the world's most dangerous predator...when you enter they tell you to look up, and there is a mirror on the ceiling. :birgits_giggle:

    Tropical Storm Hermine

And skeeters big enough to tote you off! (I think Louisiana residents might argue theirs are worse though). :D

    Tropical Storm Hermine

Yes, tell everyone you know (and this goes for everyone here) that Florida is shut down...LOL! :D

    Tropical Storm Hermine

Well, I would agree it is better to be safe than sorry, but she just goes into an absolute tizzy when there is 24 hour coverage of something on TV. I did my best yesterday to tell her we would have very little impact here, but she gets completely affected by a media bent on making everyone...

    Tropical Storm Hermine

Absolutely nothing happened here...but I would like to thank the media for whipping my 78 year old mother into a near hysteria. Yeah, thanks for that. :banghead:

A 'no vote' is a vote for the 'other guy'?

Well, I didn't attend FSU, although I did once give a presentation there regarding differential equations as an undergrad. I attended a local community college, and then transferred to UNF (University of North Florida) in Jacksonville. :D I have both Gators and Noles fans in my family, and they...

I kind of averaged your social and political stances...what would you prefer it to be? :D

A 'no vote' is a vote for the 'other guy'?

You know what's funny? I stole that post from you at EP... :rofl3: When I read what you had posted the other day about the "Republicans rising to the challenge" I thought it was brilliant, and knew I had to use it here. :D

Hi, I'm Chloe (referral from MarkFL)

Okay, Romanos expanded my AdminCP permissions, and I changed your political affiliation to Moderate and your country flag to "Holy See" as they are the same flag according to the developer of the flags mod.
