    Bed Bugs at the airport!!

Ewww! Haven't heard of that one before. They say that they can get in your luggage if you stay in a place with them (or, I guess they could have some from someone's home). It makes sense that with the close quarters of the luggage, they could migrate to other bags. Ewwww!

Can your bible make you into a bigot and a 'jerk'?

In our church, we teach that we are to obey the law of the land unless it goes against God. If the law of the land was that you had one day where you could steal anything, would you still do it. God tells we are not to steal. The same would apply to this.

Can your bible make you into a bigot and a 'jerk'?

I am trying to figure out how reading the Bible and the doctrines of one's church makes them a bigot. My church looks at gay marriage as something that is wrong, sinful and goes against the Bible. That does not make me a bigot. What makes one a bigot is our own thoughts, feelings and the...

Does anyone follow Bernie Sanders and his run for the presidency?

I know a Democrat who says she has no choice, she doesn't like either one. Now me, I have too many choices, but am working on narrowing it down.

    Pet Insurance?

No I don't. Have never had it and with how little they need to see the vet, we are just fine without it.

    Your beloved pets

I have two purebred seal point Siamese cats. Gracie and Ruthie are from the same litter. They are 2.5 years old now. They are adorable, play a lot, sleep and snuggle up to us when not snuggled up to each other. They love the "cat tv," aka looking out an open window and watching what goes on...

A theory why husbands don't do laundry

Mine didn't do laundry until a couple of years ago. I was living out of town to attend school so he was forced to do laundry. Once I graduated and returned, he still does his own and I do mine. What a relief to not have to make sure his stuff is clean when he wants it done. He has no one to...

    driving at night

I don't have night blindness, but I do have issues with glare. I do have a non glare tint on my glasses which help a little. If I am tired and am in an area with lots of traffic, I will opt not to drive, but that is also due to the unfamiliarity of the area along with the glare.

Travel - Prefer alone or with a group?

Depends on the travel. When traveling internationally, I prefer with another person or with a group. When traveling here in the US, I will do both. At the moment, I am so ready for a solo trip!!

    Important Poll - PLEASE VOTE!

It is always better to start a new online forum with a smaller number of individual forums. As the membership grows, then evaluate and see what may need to be added. I have had a really hectic summer so have not been here as much as I would like to be.

    Underage drinking

In my state it is legal to serve alcohol to your own minor children in your own home. We did allow wine at special dinners, then eventually, if they wanted to enjoy a beer with their father they would. We also taught by example when it comes to drinking instead of hiding it form them. They...

    Terminal illness and ending life

It may depend on each state, but hospice can and does go to a private home. My husband's aunt was on hospice and they came to her apartment.

    Terminal illness and ending life

That already is a patient right. In the facility I work in, we are to offer treatment 3 times. If they refuse 3 times we chart treatment was refused. One of the things we do is explain why said treatment is needed so the fully understand what they are refusing.

Thoughts on $15 hour minimum wage in US?

I am one who currently earns more than double the minimum wage. I had to go to school as well as get a license in order to do what I do. If the minimum wage were to more than double, I think my wage should also more than double. This is the thinking of many in my profession. With this...
