Oh you people working so hard for salvation

Yes yes yes with this I agree because believers kniw God'sLaw is good and holy and we don't follow it to earn anything.

Oh you people working so hard for salvation

Everyone but alithis says works are after salvation but he says we must work to stop sinning in order to be saved and Hammster already pointed out that is a Pharisee line of thinking.

Oh you people working so hard for salvation

Free from the penalty of sin and I am justified with a not guilty verdict but only because of the Savior not because I contribute. He is my redeemer so I cannot save myself nor can I free myself by any of my own actions.

Folk with a good denomination ought to tell others about it.

^Law then Gospel ^ Sounds about right to me!

unrepentant sin is unforgiven sin (moved from Off Topic)

Seriously, have you gone through and read what others have said in regards to repentance because it seems you have not at all and that's a thread killer to have someone just go on and on and not even know what someone else has written. In regards to giving an account of what we've done, ya...

Oh you people working so hard for salvation

What do YOU think you have to do for salvation? If you add anything to what Christ has done, then doesn't that negate HIS work on the cross and rejecting the forgiveness won for you by His death? We are saved by grace through faith. God brings us to repentance and thankfully so and He...

Oh you people working so hard for salvation

I'm not being dishonest and I think you aren't realizing what you've typed? We are free in Christ because we are covered in His blood. You keep on sinning throughout your life though and you refuse to believe that which is itself sinful in thinking you're some sort of little god. repent!

Oh you people working so hard for salvation

Correct! Universalism states that all are saved and we know that the bible tells us that rejection of the Savior damns us. Scripture also states we can turn away from God and there are plenty of warnings about that.

Oh you people working so hard for salvation

Faith is not given to the demons because there is no salvation provided for them. Works done afterward are not for salvation, stop promoting works! God saves us because we cannot save ourselves. Stop trying to save yourself and let God be God. Let the Gospel message stand in all its sweetness...

unrepentant sin is unforgiven sin (moved from Off Topic)

If John totally stopped sinning he wouldn't have died. The wages of sin is death. So, no, you have not answered the question Josiah first asked you. Go back and read through this and the other thread. Hear the Law and Gospel properly distinguished so you may learn. If you would read then you...

Oh you people working so hard for salvation

The Gospel is what God does for us and to us, not what we do since that is Law. The Gospel is about God dying on the cross that should have been our death and forgiving our sins. God gives us faith so that we might believe and have eternal life. For God so loved the world He gave his only...

unrepentant sin is unforgiven sin (moved from Off Topic)

Yes, John is dead because the wages of sin is death. You mistook what is written and you think that Christians aren't sinning anymore, but, hey, I bet you still sin and I bet you don't love your neighbors as you do yourself. I bet you still covet. I bet you've even lied a few times, eh? Even the...

Oh you people working so hard for salvation

You're really confused on what the Gospel is since we can't earn salvation in any way shape or form. But you just keep on trying though and God will someday show you how your efforts are like dirty menstrual rags.

unrepentant sin is unforgiven sin (moved from Off Topic)

Romans 6:23. The wages of sin is death. So, yeah, is John still walking this Earth? Perfectly sinless men do not die and I'm pretty sure the man is dead though unless you can have him log in and give us his testimony. No? Try again.

    Road rage

I have a friend who has such awful road rage and it makes me laugh but then again he only yells from his car and I could never see him going after anyone and doing damage at all. He apologizes for it all the time but I'm not sure if he's sorry that I hear him yelling or if he's sorry that he's...

Oh you people working so hard for salvation

Did Jonah perish or did God keep guiding him to do His will? Don't you get it yet that GOD works through us to do His will? Don't you get it yet that our sins were forgiven before our birth? Don't you get it yet that salvation is 100% God's work and not our own? Adding us to salvation is...

Oh you people working so hard for salvation

Another problem I see in this thread is that addiction is a result of the fall of Adam and so saying Jesus frees them from sin but oh if they can't stop their addiction then Jesus really won't save them is complete rubbish. I am glad that God died for all and for those suffering that they might...

Charles Spurgeon on receiving messages from God.

Very true! There are numerous leaders out there guiding God's people down the wrong path. They lure them away or put the wrong fear into them instead of the truth of the Gospel message. It's absolutely horrifying. Don't you agree?

unrepentant sin is unforgiven sin (moved from Off Topic)

You're refusing to answer the question and instead try to divert by asking other questions? Here's the deal. No one is advocating sin. Period. No one is saying we shouldn't follow God's Law. Period. So really, why not just see what we've all been trying to tell you in this thread since you...
