    I know, but i was mostly focused on the age of the earth and I want to make CERTAIN that believing in creationism as opposed to theistic evolution isn’t a requirement, either.

    I’ve been rereading over some old posts and noticed that the majority of mine where I was thinking about leaving the LCMS focused on my fixation on a young earth vs an old earth. But now my belief in theistic evolution is starting to bother me more again than the age of the earth. So again...

    My church, Lutheran LCMS Is doing it. And when I was a teen and wanted to go I was Catholic but don’t remember what denomination hosted it. One of my friends who was also Catholic at the time went though.

    Yes. Parents are the parents. Not the school. I guess that may not be a good enough reason for some posters here but IMO, the school has no right to go behind the parents back and encourage this young child into “transitioning”.
