    Kids and bedrooms?

I shared a room with my parents when I was a baby, I really can't remember it but my mom told me. I shared a bedroom with my brother for just a few months when I was 8, he was 6. We were moving and in transition from one house to the other my dad rented an apartment. But since that time, I've...

Motion Picture Association gives "Unplanned" an R rating

I agree with Lamm. I don't think it should be open and available for any child to see a movie were there is murder happening. I don't know what is actually shown in "Unplanned", but if the killing of a child is insinuated, I think that's strong enough for an "R".

What time to make noise in neighborhood?

:cheer: By "distant party" I meant music that isn't hurting my ear drums (not beating dance music) and the sound of people enjoying themselves. Definitely not pep drums beating in some sort of mix/match cadence and kids yelling and screaming. Give me the gas leaf blower at 6AM. :smashfreakb:

What time to make noise in neighborhood?

If it boils down to picking one over the other, I guess I pick the sounds of a distant party than the noise of weed-whackers, snowblowers, mowers, tree-trimming, and leaf blowers.

What time to make noise in neighborhood?

Many people here at the office start their vehicles from within the building to warm them up. But I think it's to have a warm car in the winter and a cool car in the summer. I don't have that luxury, so I freeze for about 5 minutes down the road. :drive:

What time to make noise in neighborhood?

I totally agree! We have both in my neighborhood. "Lawnmower man" who mows his lawn almost every day! It irritates me when he does it on Saturday or Sunday afternoon when I'm either entertaining in the backyard or just trying to take a nap on the pool deck. Then there is the guy across the...

What time to make noise in neighborhood?

I think it depends on the situation. I dislike being woke up by anyone who is running machinery outside no matter what the situation. But after something like snow, even during a snow storm they could be out cleaning at midnight if it warrants the effort, I can understand. But mowing the lawn...

    Money to your friends?

LOL, I ALWAYS pay at the end. I don't like anyone to keep my money without interest. Although, I have made exceptions for friends. I haven't received a refund in over 30 years at least, I don't remember ever getting a refund. :smirk:

    Bridal & Baby Showers

Yeah, I had never been invited to one, and I was surprised that my daughter wanted me to come to the restaurant. Maybe it was to keep the father of the groom company, I think he was there to help setup and take things down. The reason I knew a lot of what was going on was because "the plans"...

    Bridal & Baby Showers

You're right! I couldn't remember what it was called, the bachelorette party. The bridal shower was sort of on the formal side, it could have been done at a church. No male strippers. Is that still a "thing" the stripper scene?

    Bridal & Baby Showers

Not sure how it's been done before, but my daughter had the shower and it was given to her by her mother. I was surprised too, but it was only the father of the groom and me (we where not in the same room), plus the groom. Later, about a week before the wedding she had her own "party" and only...

    Bridal & Baby Showers

I’m not sure if they fed me or I had to pay for it. I had the Crispy Pork Shoulder and it was so much food and good too. I can’t remember how long I was out there, maybe a couple of hours. We had a lot of visitors from the bridal shower stopping at our table, probably to meet and greet...

    Bridal & Baby Showers

I guess I’m not really the one to be posting a reply since I don’t know much about bridal or baby showers. However, my daughter had her bridal shower back in September (I think). I walked into the private room of the Italian restaurant saw the decorations and said hi to a couple of people that...

    The Ethics of a Gym

In all my years I have belonged to gyms of all types. I must be blind to show-offs and bullies. I also don’t notice people that are overweight or struggling with their health in the gym. I have liked all the gyms for different reasons and disliked them all too. Of course cleanliness comes to...

    Money to your friends?

Interesting, before reading these posts on lending money to friends I would have said that I do and have no problems doing so. But I really don’t, if a friend asks me for $20 I give it as a gift, but I rarely do since I don’t carry cash. On rare occasions I have lent a few hundred but I really...

    Google+ is going away soon

:D I never thought about it until you mention it. Quickly found a website, but I didn't read it through yet. Don't know if anything will work, but here it is. https://www.anarieldesign.com/how-to-stop-spam-user-registration-in-wordpress/

    Google+ is going away soon

I used Wordpress on my website and I liked it. One feature I liked was that it could publish the blog to other sites without going to each site to paste. But it constantly gets hacked by email servers that want fictions emails to become members of the blog. I haven't published in over a year...

    VPN

I once worked at a place that encouraged everyone to be on Facebook all day long. It was actually a fun place to work, but my commute was tough. But along with connecting to unavailable/unauthorized sites, it also gives you some protection on public networks like at coffee shops and such...

    Is it really green?

I wasn't making a point but an observation of the human condition. I was not judging the means nor the goal. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

    Is it really green?

The exact end is what the architect, author, designer decided it would be, the means are only limited to such initiator. I can't answer for them, since I am not them, I can only speculate.
