Mary ... (discussion with non-Catholic Christians allowed)

My statement was a general one, not specifically.

    Muslims Are Not Atheists

    Now you are being insulting.

    Muslims Are Not Atheists

Please don't quote me out of context. I addressed what you said, and explained the concept. You don't have to be in agreement to understand it. Not once have I said I am in agreement with it. So please don't try to infer what I have not said.

Member & Staff Discussion of "Haven" and site foundations

I do think a lot of the problems are primarily from a small community. Debates, and differences are intensified and I see clear divides between members. There is a lot of deliberate baiting going on, though I don't see how this can be moderated. I hoped that the forum would be aimed at...

    Muslims Are Not Atheists

To what end. Any person that wants to understand a definition, will inevitably use a dictionary. When we speak of a principle or thought, sometimes it is hard to convey without using words out of their established norms. Usage of words in a religious environment will naturally diverge from...

    Muslims Are Not Atheists

Why are you persisting in a pointless argument? Are you going to force a definition on a believer, or accept they view it differently?
  7. S

    Muslims Are Not Atheists

There is a context for Christians. As has been expressed by members in this thread. Mutual respect would be nice.

    Ask Me (Almost Anything)

It was a haven for Christians, doesn't feel that way anymore. There is a large divide on these forums, and as time progresses it worsens. This is not only among Christians.

Mary ... (discussion with non-Catholic Christians allowed)

I'm not here to tarnish your character. I do think you set out with all good intentions, and have tried to keep to that. We all at times get lost in heated disputes.

to Follow the lord is not a theory.. and for this reason I now leave the forum

Understandable Alithis. I hope you grow closer to God in your decision. Goodbye. May God bless you and your family.

Mary ... (discussion with non-Catholic Christians allowed)

What becomes apparent is people aren't acting in the manner instructed and demonstrated in the Bible. Disagreeing with doctrine is fine, using it as an excuse for anger and hatred is not. Consider the way disagreement should be worded, and make sure your emotions don't lead you into sin.

Mary ... (discussion with non-Catholic Christians allowed)

Just stop... I have no sympathy for either side when almost every thread is being turned into direct attacks on each other.
  13. S

    Muslims Are Not Atheists

This seems to be an argument over validity of belief, rather than the definition. A little pointless and unfruitful (for Christians) to debate trivial things.
  14. S

    Ask Me (Almost Anything)

No side is innocent. 90% of the threads made are 'seemingly' with the intent to stir debate. Not the good kind. There is an element of baiting, and also plenty of negative inference in wording. Anyway back to the OP - question time. Lammchen - Was this forum made with the intent of...

    What Makes A Debate/Discussion Interesting?

Yeah I did mean to change it to force, or another suitable word. You had already replied by the time I realised :)

    What Makes A Debate/Discussion Interesting?

That is what I meant with 'supreme being' in the sense that: the belief of nature is characterized by power over all things - in opposition to an external control.
  17. S

    What Makes A Debate/Discussion Interesting?

What do you believe is the originator, and the final determiner of life and the universe as we know it?

    I am a Christian ...

I'm not sure the choice of believing in God is equivalent to decisions such as - how to cook a meal.
  19. S

    What Makes A Debate/Discussion Interesting?

Arguably atheists believe in nature as the supreme being of their fate.
