A humanoid like Data or even "sonny" from I, Robot are too far away for me to think about it. But robots today are preforming amazing feats with their programming, but they are very limited to their program. To be a companion it needs a brain that keeps learning and understand expression and...
I have the hearings on, but I'm at work so I catch bits and pieces. I did watch Tim Morrison and Kurt Volker answer "No" to quid pro quo, bribery, and cover-up.
Correct, so it can't stand on it's own. So to the original post, where the politician is saying that hearsay is better, how is that MUCH better than direct evidence?
OP: Hearsay Evidence can be much better???
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hearsay_in_United_States_law
Even though hearsay can be used in a court of law, it comes with exemptions. Hearsay is not admissible on it's own. So that in itself can't make hearsay much better than direct evidence.
I guess I never really thought about it that hard. I have been to churches that didn’t allow music or musical instruments in their building, to churches with hundreds in the choir and an 80 piece orchestra. I’ve been to huge churches where I can hear a pin drop and others where it seems like...
Well, whatever their aptitude is and the passion level, I would suggest something with the medical field. Whether it’s research, working with people, working on medical equipment, some jobs require interaction, and some are fit for loners. Some require working with your hands like specializing...
I've never seen or even heard of a grey pumpkin. I had to Google it, they look pretty cool. Are they engineered? Are they edible? I didn't read about them, I just wanted to see a picture, some call them blue pumpkins. We sometimes get a dozen deer in the back yard and they rest up against...
I lost over 230 LBS, I guess that would be over 100 Kg. It was a lifestyle change, I had done various diets, and exercise programs but nothing worked for long. I changed just about everything in my life. I learned portion control, I learned about carbs, about sleep, about the amount and the...
Skimming over the essay was very interesting, I'm at work so I didn't have a chance to dive into it. The commentary was all over the place, so I can't wait to get home and read it thoroughly. Thanks for the post.
Totally agree! Why does anyone NEED any style of worship, why is one worship better? Even wordless groans are interceded by the Spirit.
And of course "It is Well" was penned by Horatio Spafford in an emotional state, I assume he was expressing his joy in God. But Horatio FELT he had to write...
Hate is a strong word, but I don't think God has grey areas, no lie comes from the truth.
I asked for some "modern worship songs" so that I could read the words. I don't know the words to any worships songs and I really don't know the names of songs that are used in modern worship. I hear...
So how do modern "emotional" worship songs botch up theology? Maybe that's too broad of a question. Name 5 modern worship songs that God would hate. Personally, I like two hymns very much, How Great Thou Art, and It Is Well with My Soul, and they were totally emotional songs when penned.
I agree, I didn't say anything about pleasing ourselves in this context. However, how do we know God accepts any of our songs. Which sounds are more righteous than others? There will be a New Song which only a few will be able to learn. Revelation 14:3...
Of course, there should be checks and balances. Lyrics should be checked for sound doctrine, but a joyful sound can be music to God, a sigh a relief from a believer can say so much.
Singing connects us emotionally. Songs of celebration have the power to lead us to dance. Songs of lament have...
