    Mary the ark

I have not said that "typological relationship means that Mary is/was a sinless ever-virgin". That sounds like a straw man invention of yours As @MoreCoffee has pointed out, attributing that motive for the connection does not sound right. The arguments for Mary being sinless and ever-virgin do...

    Mary the ark

I don't think comparing the Ark of the Covenant to Mary is a stretch at all. The old Ark contained (Manna) bread from heaven; the new Ark contained the bread of life, the new bread from heaven (see Jn 6:31-32). The old Ark carried the written word of God (Ten Commandments); the new Ark...

    Mary the ark

If the OT points to the NT as in "the Covenant with Israel points to the New Covenant in Christ", then surely the OT ark would point to the NT ark (Mary).

The only method of Baptism taught and demonstrated in scripture

I think that baptism in the name of Jesus (or similar) is the name of the baptism. It identifies a particular baptism i.e. not John's baptism or various Jewish ritual baptisms (tevilah) Mt 38:18 specifies the words to be use in this baptism. It defines a part of the method of baptism,

    Laptop or PC

I have both. Generally I prefer the PC - better (& bigger) screen (dual), better keyboard. My wife uses the laptop a lot for Zoom. The laptop is also useful when we go visiting family.

    Mary’s Perpetual Virginity

No point. You have already decided there is no Scriptural support and I respect your decision. Moreover the consensus here is that it doesn't matter either way.

    Mary’s Perpetual Virginity

OK, so you are not interested. No wonder Catholics don't stay on this forum when Protestant opinions count more than Scripture.

    Mary’s Perpetual Virginity

Different unofficial theories about this matter, as with other ones, have existed at various times in the history of Christianity. But while it is possible that Mary had no other children--AND no sexual relations with anyone--after the birth of Jesus, two facts work against it. Mary's...

What do you believe is the most popular false doctrine and why?

According to some Jesus' death forgives everyone's sins so all get a prize. All go to heaven no matter how wicked they are.

Josiah, I am truly shocked an appalled at the way you have misrepresented and lied about what I wrote. I will have no more to do with you and am putting you on ignore.

    Name Change

When God changed someones name it was significant. The new name meant something Simon's name was chaged to Kepas (Aramiac) transliterated to Cephas & translated into Greek as Petros - from where we get Peter.. Kephas means a rock - a big one. The significance comes later when Jesus tells Peter...

    Is penance biblical?

You are being ridiculous Josiah. Do you believe that God saves everyone? If not then on what criteria does God choose to save some and not others? A random pick? Throw of the dice? Or something we do? I showed you in post #63 that there is something we must do - and you didn't challenge it. so...

    Is penance biblical?

I'll leave this for now as Fritz Kopbus is addressing ir If you are referring to posts #56 & #62, you merely claimed that God demands blood for our sin. You gave no evidence for that claim. Death can be a punishment as in capital punishment. But death can happen for all kinds of reasons that...
