Does God have to obey logic and reason?

Then it is impossible to have any sort of interaction with such a Being because we don't have a common ground for reality assessment.

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

I'm sorry, but that's all you're understanding. That's not all I'm saying at all. It is irrelevant whether I agree with the way God does things. I'm merely pointing out that a God Who is omnipotent, omniscient and omnibenevolent is illogical considering that there is suffering in the world. It...

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

Any reason that an omnipotent, omnibenevolent God might have would be achieved without the suffering. Yes, I cannot imagine said reason, and I don't need to imagine it. If said reason exists, no matter what it might be, said goal is achievable, if God is all-powerful, with or without the...

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

That is not a good objection to God being all-powerful because the request is irrational. To say that there is an all-powerful God is to say that there cannot coherently be an object so large that He can't move. In an universe in which there is an unstoppable force, there, by definition, cannot...

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

This is about following logic, not my personal opinion. I don't understand why you keep misunderstanding this. It's not about what I think God should do, but rather about what the basic rules of logic dictate. Unless, of course, you claim that God's morality allows Him to defy logic, case in...

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

Why did the works of God have to be manifest in that man (or any other disabled people)? Whatever the reason might be, if God is omnipotent, then that same reason could be achieved in a way that did not involve suffering. Some apologists give examples like this: you can't have healing if...

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

No, I would not have to find the reason. Whatever the reason might be, no matter how glorious it may be, if God is omnipotent, then He could achieve that same reason without the suffering, and if He was omnibenevolent, it would be logically impossible for Him to choose the path with the suffering.

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

I'm not following. Of course He can be omnipotent and allow evil to exist. However, He can't also be all-good and all-knowing at the same time.

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

The definition of omnipotence means that He can achieve any goals in any way. That is what being all-powerful means. The definition of all-good means seeking the optimum state for all creation at all time. The two are mutually exclusive in a world in which evil exists. If God bases His actions...

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

How could it mess it up? Does the fact that God is also present everywhere invalidate the fact that He could achieve the same goals with or without suffering? @Lamb, could you edit the poll and the title and add the fourth attribute?

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

Why do apologists talk about the tri-omni of God if there are four attributes?

Does God have to obey logic and reason?

Does God have to abide by logic and reason, or does His divine nature give Him the right to disregard logic and reason as far as His behavior goes? If you watch this video, you might (will?) understand why God allowing suffering to happen is irrational regardless of whether the goal He wants...

Which of the three attributes of Abrahamic God is less likely to be real?

The Abrahamic God is described as having three major attributes: omnipotence, omniscience and omnibenevolence. The problem of evil / the existence of suffering in the world makes the coexistence of these three attributes logically impossible. Which of the three do you think is more likely to not...

The video was removed for some reason and I can't edit the original post, so here is another video: Does that happen even to sinners?

If you had to pick your favorite president in the history of the USA that was in office before you were born, who would it be? And why?

    Threads by Meta

There's a new social media app launched by Meta (the company behind Facebook). It's called Threads and it tries to rival Elon Musk's X. It's a microblogging platform. After having been restricted in the EU for a while, it was finally launched in my country last week and I joined it. I came...

Do you watch Christian YouTubers on a regular basis?

Is your YouTube feed full of Christian content? How often do you watch Christian YouTubers? I mean YouTubers who make videos about Christianity (whether it's apologetics, preaching, vlogs etc.), not YouTubers who are Christians but make unrelated content.
