I am the same as you. I lived with my parents, then my boyfriend who is now my husband, I’ve never lived alone.

I’ve never read the KJV except if I look something up online and a verse pops up now and then. I own and read the NIV.

I’m from the Midwest with a Catholic background and prefer the modern, non traditional service.
