I‘ve tried praying in my Lutheran chapel but something feels missing. We have a kneeler, Bible and I think candles

People on a Catholic forum told me to go, that by going I’d be able to decide which church to go to. Meaning, of course, Catholic. I wonder what excuse they‘d have if I went and then said I felt a pull to stay put in my Lutheran church?

Has anyone here gone to Adoration ina Catholic Church? What did you think or get out of it?

Yes, we were talking about that too. But we were talking about Adoration in posts #42 and 39

The chapel is a multiuse room, Bible study is held there on Thursday mornings,I went to confession in there, we decorated the Christmas trees for Christmas in there and we had a meeting in there so it’s not always quiet. Or unoccupied. There are no kneelers in the worship center. We sit in chairs.

My LCMS church has a chapel we can pray in but It only consists of a Bible and something else (candles?) and a place to kneel and pray. After being Catholic and going to Adoration it feels like something is missing at my LCMS church.

I don’t know. IMO, darkness has always been the absence of light. But then look at your iPad or computer and look at the black background, or a black crayon. God could’ve created darkness, too.

I didn’t go to Sunday school or VBS, I went to a Catholic school but I have gone to a Catholic Bible Study when I was Catholic and really enjoyed being with all the women there and learning about the Bible. I’m probably going to start going to another one at my LCMS church soon.

What are everyone’s thoughts about the Catholic practice of Adoration to the Eucharist?

Yeah,I told my hubby about seeing it and he asked how I know it’s really Jesus’ cross. I didn’t have an answer except that my church said it was. It was just a splinter.

I don’t know if the Vatican has made any announcements but I do know that my Catholic Church and another one nearby did have a presentation of these miracles. Some seemed hard to believe, others I wasn’t sure about. The church I used to go to also had a splinter of the “real Cross” Jesus was...

Why would God do that? To make believers out of the doubting.

Did you read the link to the article in post #16? What did you think about that? Among other things, the people involved had questionable credentials. Do you believe all EM are genuine?

What is your opinion of Eucharistic Miracles, now knowing that these miracles weren’t peer reviewed and happened pretty much the same way and often in poor countries?
