With all due respect, if there are any Catholics reading this, they’d debate otherwise. Which is my problem, in a nutshell. One side teaches one thing, the other side teaches another and I don’t know who to believe.

I don’t think there’s anything in Scripture saying that His Presence leaves us after receiving Communion, either.

I would think that if there were ETs, they would’ve been seen by a credible witness by now. But I still wonder…. And I don’t think that they’re demons, I think something is out there flying around, just not demons or little green men. IMO.

Yes, but then why isn’t he in the Monstrance during Adoration? Or are you saying that He is?

Going back to the Eucharist, I do THINK I feel the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist during Adoration. It might just be something from what I’ve been taught, combined with what I’ve learned in Catholic forums.

I’m LCMS. I often read a LCMS Q & A. I’ve discussed this with my pastor many times and after trying to reassure me more than a few times he consulted someone who I guess helps and advises pastors. Long story short, he said as LCMS, it’s ok for me to believe in an old earth.

I don’t know enough about Lutheranism to say but I do know they believe the universe is 6,000 to 10,000 years old and I don’t. Then again, Saturn turns out to be much younger than originally thought so, according to some websites (Christian ones) it could be as young as the Bible says.

It boils down to three things, really. None being good reasons. I chose the Lutheran church because it’s nearby; I was bored at Mass; and the Lutheran church has fabulous music. It’s a very contemporary church with a contemporary praise band.

When you ask it that way I guess it doesn’t. It’s not really the lack of the Eucharist being on the altar, it’s my feelings toward it, based on what I’ve been taught.

The CC believe the reserved Host is the Eucharist. Can you link me to something that would explain WHY it’s no longer Jesus Body?

I know….and I’m not sure I get that. How can His presence no longer be there after the Lords Supper? I guess I think that that’s what‘s missing by praying in the chapel. His presence in the Eucharist during Adoration vs praying in the chapel.

My husband said that by going what I’ve discussed with him, he thinks that I’d be happiest in the Lutheran church. And yes, I realize it’s a decision I must make for myself.
