Ahhhh, now I understand. Not that Lutheran is a good fit for you but Martin Luther took hymnology very seriously and wrote many theologically sound hymns himself just for that very reason.

I was actually surprised she didn’t flip through it to see if the pages had been hollowed out to hid something in. Being the Bible was the cause for further inspection.

When I travel, like this weekend, I take my ultra thin KJV. I use to take a big fat study bible but the TSA at the airport always wanted to go through my luggage to get a better look at it.

After reading the title to this thread I checked our service schedule and there are four services on Christmas eve 5pm, 7pm, 9pm & 11pm. And two services on Christmas day 8am & 10am. Normally there are three services on a normal Sunday morning. I’ve always thought that four services on Christmas...

You abide by believing and the fruit of the Spirit sprouts from that communion.

When you're bless with several choices in congregations as many of us are then holding out for the best fit over all can be the best way to go. The fact our congregation is also friendly added to my wife's attraction to keep attending which paid off in the long run.

Our pastor's calling is teaching and you can tell he puts a lot of thought into his sermons. It's really helped my wife, mother and sister who aren't the theology nut that I am. :disgonbegood:
