    Public toilets in Holland

I hate it when I'm out and can't find public facilities. I love drinking water but it goes straight through me :=-0:

    the radiance of his glory

We as creatures, particularly fallen creatures can not participate in the fullness of God's 'essence', only a controlled aspect of God's 'energies'. That's not the case concerning Jesus being as stated in the Nicec creed, He is of one substance with the Father=the essence of God. But we as...

    Goodness and mercy

Phillipians 1:21-23 For the believer, it's always about God's will (greater good). We are totally dependent on God's mercy for our existence and continued viability in this life and the next and sure 'we' would prefer to 'be with the Lord' but He still has His plans to work through us to bring...

    the radiance of his glory

This is where I think the Orthodox take this subject to a much higher level with their teaching on God's essence and His energies.

Liturgical Only Sacred space & closed communion.

I appreciate that about Catholism. Often during the week, on the way home from work, I know which parishes are open for Eucharistic adoration. Makes for a great atmosphere of reverence for prayer.

Liturgical Only Sacred space & closed communion.

My congregation is very social which is good and bad IMO concerning sacred space. Upon entering the sanctuary before the service is called to order it's still pretty much a meet and greet which is not conducive to preparing yourself for worship. I'd prefer others would socialize before or after...

Your tithe doesn't have to go to the church

We are not mandated to give 10% nor restricted to only give 10% in the NT but the OT 'principles' are great guidelines. Churches typically give to both local and global charitable organizations so by giving to and through your local congregation is kinda getting a two for one deal :friends:

Does School violence begin at home?

Right, guns have always been available to youth in the U.S. When I was growing up my father gave me his 22 single shot rifle that he used as a youth and we just didn't see the shootings that are so common place now. I think that when the norm of a healthy family unit breaks down its inevitable...

What Do You Do in Your Church?

At our local Episcopal cathedral they took us on a tour and they have a sink designated and labeled for communion wine disposal only that is piped to the ground for convenience.

Liturgical Only Sacred space & closed communion.

Yeah our Episcopal cathedral is that way to where many congregants bow towards the altar before entering their pew isle and others kneel without being instructed during the words of institution of the Eucharist. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if a visitor missed the Episcopal church sign upon...

Luther Movie Airs in US on Tuesday, September 12 on PBS

I liked it but didn't see anything I hadn't already heard before but I think it would be good for all Protestants to known and appreciate their histories. I wish my wife could of watched it. She had to work overtime which she works from home but only caught pieces of it as she was able.

Liturgical Only How have any of the Sacraments affected you personally?

I've shared here before my experience at an Orthodox Church and how the tangible grace of God touched me and increased my faith from not only an intellectual knowledge of the 'real presence' of our Lord in the sacraments but to also an experiential knowledge.
