Hey everybody! I hope your days are going well. Last night I decided to get something at the store:

Introducing Jasmine. She is sitting at the bottom of the cage because she just first went in there and that is how they act at first. I had just brought her home. She has been eating and crawling on the cage side so far. I'm letting her adjust to her cage before I let her out.

Thank you all, yes, she is very pretty! She tried to fly today and then went running around the living room. Had to teach her to step up on the ladder that I put by her so she can go back to the cage when she wants. She learned it-smart birdie!

I don't know yet. They haven't "talked" to each other yet. They are in separate cages although open most of the time. The baby is very shy still.

I am worried about them. They are not being as friendly as I would hope. I may need to get another bird, a male to cheer them both up, who knows. Have a good day everyone!

Your Jasmine is very pretty. I have a Sheldon and a Giuseppi. My partner has Madonna and Cher. We've introduced them to each other, and hopefully, they will like each other enough to give us "grandkids". Sheldon is who I'm currently using as my avatar. He's a light green recessive pied spangle... if you're into that part of raising budgies.

Are you sure that she's a she? From this picture, she appears to be maybe a very young he. If you posted a close-up picture of just her head, I could tell you for sure.

Your birds are pretty too, James! We had parakeets growing up and one was absolutely vicious. My mom loved that thing way too much!

She is a she. She has the head shape of a female and the cere color of a female.

My birds have been fighting. I hope they will stop and be friends. I don't know what to do at this point!
