What is your current avatar and why do you use it? (Please link/attach your current avatar in case you change it in future)

My current avatar is:

I changed my avatar because I decided for the time being I wanted something "less scary". Numerous people have told me my eye avatars were freaky or intimidating or scary (they were not intended to be) - so I'm going with a cat for now. I found it online and did a few short easy little animation features to give it some pizzazz. I may switch back and will probably switch to something else just to keep it interesting.

Broader question - do people's avatars influence how you think of them?

What thoughts/feelings does the avatar above you communicate to you, if any?

I chose this avatar because Mother's Day here in the US will be May 14 and I tend to go with lamb theme avatars.
Here is my current one:


I tend to change my avatar often because it's my way of showing my personality as well as celebrating holidays through it.

I do think that someone's avatar has an effect on how I initially think of them. I had a friend who, before we were friends, had an avatar from one of my favorite musicals and so of course we had to be friends

Strav, when I first saw your avatar I thought, "How pretty!" and then I hunted for hidden messages in it that you tend to do! LOL

My current avatar is an icon of the Lord, Jesus Christ, from a church in southern Italy.

I use it because it points to Jesus as the Lord who came to Earth, was crucified, and died. The icon also includes two witnesses to the Lord's crucifixion.

My avatar is the pearl of great price. Jesus looks at us as the pearl of great price that He paid to redeem from the world. We could never afford His great worth but He paid for us by sacrificing His majesty to become a servant so that servants could become one with Him serving in His field. To me that's what the pearl of great price means. What He finds in us.

I wondered if I even had an avatar, just took one from here.



I like water falls. Had made a flag once with the Niagara water falls and everyone watching them, like an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

If someone uses a pic of someone, although I know it's just a pic of a celebrity, I can't help but think they look like that. Some guys on other forums used a pic of a good looking girl. That's so weird. Then after a while I find out they're not that girl lol, made that mistake a lot.

Broader question - do people's avatars influence how you think of them?

Sometimes people's avatars give some key insight into their personality, or an aspect of it, although not always. They may not even be conscious of it. It's not always the case and sometimes the avatar is just a random choice. One sort of has to get to know them a bit.

What thoughts/feelings does the avatar above you communicate to you, if any?

HotRhymez's current avatar "Foghorn Leghorn" doesn't communicate anything to me. I don't know him very well, but do remember him (and this avatar) from CF.
