Then why do we still suffer? Thought this would be a good topic to discuss. :)

He didn't die for our suffering.

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. 21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

22 “Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;
23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.

And He was made perfect through suffering, we are made perfect through suffering too.

Because it is prophesyed that we will if we fiollow Him, ofcourse this is different than the suffering we go through because of our own choices and sin.

Acts 5:41 The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.
Apparently it is an honor to suffer.

Romans 5:1-5
1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Suffering also seems to lead to hope.

2 Corinthians 12:6-10
6 Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say, 7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Sometimes we suffer in order to recieve more grace, so that our weakness can make us strong.

Probably for the same reason that Christians still sin and also die

I agree with others: Jesus did not die for our suffering. Jesus died for our sin (although yes, our sin is a consequence of our sin nature). We not only are NOT "saved" from suffering (hey, even Jesus suffered - REALLY suffered!) but suffering is a part of the Christian life; it may even be a means of blessings.

But yes, while Jesus frees us from the guilt of our sin, He does not free us from the earthly, immediate consequence. Let's say I drive 5 MPH over the speed limit. A cop stops me and gives me a ticket. I repent to God for what I did. Will God forgive me? Yes. Will the ticket go "poof" and disappear? No. A unmarried girl gets pregnant via sinful sex. Can she repent of that and because of the work of Christ be forgiven? Absolutely - and heaven may still be her final destination. Does the baby disappear? No. The CONSEQUENCES of our sin remains even though our guilt for such does not.

That's my perspective anyway....

The suffering that we won't experience are the depths of hell. We still suffer here on earth as did many of the disciples!

Why do we still suffer? Sin, sickness, and death. Simple? Not really. We're not privy to the ultimate will of God, His purposes in suffering and in health - goodness and sorrow - wealth and poverty. We can't (truly) comprehend the question without the mind of God. And to consider it sort of puts us at the center of the 'story' where we don't belong.

*Disclaimer: The preceding was as much for me as anyone else. Take what you like, and leave the rest :)

On this I agree cuz we know before the fall that suffering just didn't exist and then afterward the tumble down of earth and man was there, sickness, suffering and death, boom, there it was! Let's all blame Adam instead of blaming God since he didn't eat of that fruit and even warned those two what the consequences would be but Satan got in their heads and made it all worse so how about we blame Satan instead.
