THAT is why i pray for our nation ev'ry day......may God have mercy on us and protect us from the Trojan Horse that is our own gov't and the very head of this country who is convinced he's a "king" and "rules" us, and many are in agreement, forgetting that this country was founded on the premise of:

"of the people, by the people, and for the people"

God help us.

Yes, I am waiting to see who the next president will be. I truly believe that they will be the one who oversees our downfall
Well, time will tell. I will say I would not be shocked if we saw war civil or otherwise on our own soil.

Well, that is a cold hard fact of war non-combatants die. They always have and they always will. The difference is if I could do so in ANY way I would CHOOSE to be a combatant that part is a choice.

The government can tell me that they will not accept me for pay not only am I overweight, but I also have various health issues/concerns that mean I cannot serve if I could I would have enlisted and probably finished high school in the delayed enlistment program. What they cannot and WILL NOT do is tell me I cannot fight for my country WITHOUT pay on my own soil.

ISIS. We created ISIS, and their recruiting system is exploiting social media. I worry about them increasing in numbers and attacking us.

Well, ISIS we created ... and since we created it we know exactly who is who and who is where. So apparently we choose to keep it.
Russia and China are completely ignoring us and building economic relationships outside of NATO.
AlQauida is 'over there' ...

We are finally getting to a point that world powers are ignoring us.

And now with this same-sex ruling - Russia and China are not only distancing themselves from us, they are laughing at us.

Good points, Doublement,

Essentially Obama allowed ISIS to grow strong by his inaction and his referral to ISIS as just a "JV team." I do believe -- and hope -- that other world powers, who are know ignoring us, are watching to see if we elect a more decent, traditional president in 2016. That would go a long way to re-establishing the USA as the world's leader.

Same thing with the same-sex ruling. Eons of human history basically ignored by 5 leftist lawyers hiding behind black robes.

All of the above basically shows how evil and dangerous liberalism is -- because it is liberal elements that are responsible for all of it.

This country needs a very hard turn to the right to set itself straight again.

What it needs is a good dose of common sense and a return to basic biblical values

It's not an "Obama did it" situation.

ISIS is the result of a decade of instability, war, tens/hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties and power vacuums left by the West.

Is it really that surprising that ideologies united under a common denominator that then try and fill said vacuums?

Frankly, there's a lot we should be ashamed for.

I feel especially sorry for the servicemen and women that served over the past decade. They've fought and died against an enemy that was then armed and supported by the governments of those troops they'd killed.

Disgraceful behaviour.

The enemy of my enemy is not my friend.

What say you?

It depends what you mean by "threat".

I really struggle to take these "terrorist groups" very seriously, if I'm honest. We hear of their failed attempts to blow up aircraft, where one guy failed to set fire to his shoes before another passenger thumped him, then another guy failed to set fire to his underwear before other passengers beat ten bells out of him and sat on him. In the UK there were always periodic news reports of the police raiding a suspected terror cell (which inevitably meant a few young men with brown skin and beards being dragged away in the small hours of the morning) and nothing was ever heard of them again. If they were found guilty of something we should have known, and if they were released we should also have known.

... and all the while the rights of the people are eroded as the government is desperate to Be Seen To Be Doing Something, and so many of the people gladly give up their hard-won freedoms in a plea to Nanny State to Please Do Something and Protect Us From The Bad People, never really realising that there is no way Nanny State can possibly do such a thing.

I say the biggest threat to a civilised nation is the people of that nation who grow too comfortable, too complacent, and too distracted by the latest episode of Strictly Come Celebrity Cow Tipping On Ice With The Stars to stop and think about what is being done in their name. When people cast votes for high office based on someone's hair, or the color of their skin (during the 2008 election I was surprised at the number of times I heard variations of "it's about time we had a black President" and "I don't want no *racial slur* in the White House"), it's hardly surprising they don't get the results they wanted. When people turn politics into soundbites, where the Democrats all but eat babies for breakfast and the Republicans would sell their granny for dog food if it meant paying a few bucks less tax, the actual significance of the issues is lost.

We can blame those in office all we want but at the end of the day we get the government we vote for.

What Biblical values would you look to return to, and whose interpretation of the Bible would you want to use?
