342 - we appear to have sprouted a few very unpleasant thread reactions in Christianity Haven of late. Maybe it is time for me to go. I don't see much point in remaining if folk are going to be intractably hostile for reasons unknown. Staying seems like a bad idea to me.

I hope you stay. And the posts you are referring to (in the "Careful gender based research yields astounding insights!" thread) I wouldn't worry about. I actually appreciated the negative reactions more than the original humor. Not because I agree - but because it says important things to me about the person(s) who posted them. If feigned, it shows falseness. If real, it shows some pretty serious issues over something meant to be a humorous exaggeration of male-female relations.

340 - Yes, but I am not a young chap and I have things to do with my time that amuse me more than baby sitting people who want to feel slighted or feel insulted for no apparent reason.

Your choice. Again, hope you stay. It's been a pleasure reading your posts - even if we often disagree on various issues.

338 - maybe it is me getting older or something. I try to write interesting posts and start interesting topics. I usually do not mind if I come across one or two who want to make a fuss about something that they think is bad or insulting to their sense of good theology or whatever but it's been almost continuous here since a little while after I arrived. When I first came here there were 4 or 5 other Catholics posting in the site now there is only me as far as I know. Now people regularly derail threads that I start. I guess I am feeling grumpy or something. I'll go to mass shortly. It is good to be with God's people for a while. Away from the hostility in a little bulletin board.

334 - do you gather with other Christians who share your views?

I am not aware of any Christians near me that share my (non-conventional) views. Plenty surface on the internet, but organized church - no. I'm sure there might be home groups that gather, but I'm not aware of them. So, no - I'm lone wolfing it. No pun intended (wolf), hehe.
