Since we have a thread about flat earthiness I thought a thread about spherical earthiness might be a good counter-point.

Yes ... Love ... But my world has felt a little flat lately. I just want a rounder world. Lots and lots of round!

Too bad it's not a giant pizza. I'm hungry.
Of course, when the world seems flat, we can always make pizza, and I just happen to have a dough ready in the fridge, I'll be making a pizza today. Thx for the reminder.

For the question below, ... What do you need to know to make this map?
The answer is ... Rens! :=D: (She's our personal mapmaker)

Rutan Voyager was the first aircraft to fly around the world non-stop in 1986. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rutan_Voyager

And what is this proof of? Flat earther's don't claim one cannot circumnavigate the earth. It certainly can be, and has.

However, complete circumnavigation is always East to West or West to East. Never North to South. North/South Circumnavigation can't be done because we don't live on a Globe, folks.

How many flights you see going over Antarctica?

Answer: 0

North to South Circumnavigation of the Earth is not possible because we do NOT live on a Globe, an "oblate spheroid" or a Pear rock.

The Earth goes around because when our Solar System was formed about 4.6 billion years ago, the cloud of gas and dust was in a plain (think what happens to pizza dough when it is tossed in the air) and it started to collapse under its own gravity, forming planets out of the material present in that part of the plain - with the motion of spin still at work. The rate at which it goes around varies according to a lot of factors, including our Moon and how close it is (it's slowly moving further away).

You believe the moon is roughly 239,000 miles away.

And yet, the light of the moon is very selective. It's light apparently only illuminates close clouds. This magical close illumination is a result of what exactly?

There have been flights north to south. There aren't a lot of spots to go to if there were problems with the plane so it makes sense that your map of current flights is blank. It's about safety. That's not proof that it isn't possible since there is proof otherwise.

There are daily flights over both poles. Satellites orbit over the polls every few hours.

And your proof is 0. Show the flights showing the complete circumnavigation of the "globe" via North/South flights, Lam. There aren't any.

No Circumnavigation of the Earth has ever been done via North/South, South/North routes ever been done. You're Globe earth is a lie. You cannot accept it because of your entertainment and programming.

I suspect that a flat earth is a lie but a few folk like it and their eccentricity does add to the spice of life.

You have to admit tho that the flatearthers are quite adament in their stand but I find it too intertwined with the tinhatters for me to be comfortable with it. I spent the last year or so being oppressed with details of the what "they" are doing that I find it difficult to want to understand. BUT I can understand how that can get all clumped in together too.

Of course not, don't be silly. We live on a giant magic mushroom named 'Snickerpoo', overlooked by a melancholy owl named 'Hooper', who's partially seated on the head of a beared man named 'Bignose-Notreally', who's a bit angry right now because of this annoying little light shining in his eye, which some people think is a ball of glowing cheese, but is actually a flat blueberry pancake.
Below is an old photo of them, Hooper is at the top facing forward, Bignose-Notreally is facing <--- left.
You can tell it's an old photo because it's in black and white. Plus, the caption says, 'This is an old photo', but you can't read that because it's covered by the clouds, which aren't there.

You believe the moon is roughly 239,000 miles away.

Elven-Bunnies with with giant magnifying glasses and a big flashlight!

There, SEE, that settles it then! :=D:

It seems to me you missed hearing bout this flight news

https://news.google.com/newspapers?...pan+am+50th+anniversary&pg=1973,3373450&hl=en

707-320C did something similar in 1965 but your gonna say it was all a lie for those to aren't you?

These kinds of "news" articles are the favorites of globeheads. It's required reading whenever the spinning globe is tested...because hey - Flat Earther's - YOUR THREATENING OUR ENTERTAINMENT...Buck Rogers, Star Trek, Star Wars etc...

I especially like the fares for 1st class patrons. $3,333. Ah, Freemason BS.

But "we believe in the bible".

Actually, no you don't. It tells a bunch of lies about a stationary earth, that has pillars and doesn't move. Being a Globe Believer means you treat the Creation account and all kinds of verses as complete fiction. It's calling it a lie. Sounds harsh? Yes, but it's the truth.

Go back to the flight tracking site I showed you. 0 flights go over Antarctica. It's practical to fly over Antarctica for a number of reasons if we lived on a Globe - but 0 flights fly over it!

Duh moment.

But...but...our entertainment! Luke, don't abandon me! Spaaaacccceeee......
