No big deal, sometimes we get a pesky little thorn in the flesh, you know, one of those 'messengers' sent to buffet us, like the great Apostle Paul talked about.

Nothing on his scale, though, he was a great man of God who accomplished much good for Jesus, so I can only imagine what he had to deal with.

My pastor calls what we sometimes have to deal with 'Buck Privates', lol. It's ok, though, Jesus sees all, His love abounds, and His mercies are new every morning.

Then I question if your goading in #454, you follow again with your little twinkie goad. Gee, that sure aint a messenger from heaven meant to edify, now is it?
The 'We' you referred to is we regular folks who believe in Jesus, as opposed to those notables in the faith the Lord uses in a big way like a Paul or Peter or Spurgeon or Luther, etc., but even 'we' get harrassed by unbelievers and others that would seek our harm rather than our good.
And you're right, Paul was an awesome Apostle, can't wait to meet him someday. God's love does abound, and His mercies are new every morning. I never thought of that as being flattery before. Seems odd.
