11.1 million folk living in the USA without a valid current visa? What is Donald Trump going to do about it Josiah? Kick them all out? Where to? What if they have no papers to prove that they came from the country to which Donald Trump wants to send them. If they have no proof that they came from Honduras, Guatamala, Mexico, Argentina, Guiana, Zimbabwe, Haiti those countries will not receive them. What is he going to do then?
I think it's actually POSSIBLE that finally we have SOMEONE in a position of authority in the USA who believes borders SHOULD mean something, that nations SHOULD be soverign, that having 11.1 MILLION illegal aliens (1 million just in LA) is a problem - and that something should be done about it. For half a century or more, all politicians have done is periodically admit to a problem..... talk, talk, talk, talk, talk...... make promises soon forgotten..... and take counterproductive steps that at best just wipe off the welcome mat - and millions more flood in.
Yes, I agree - the INACTION by politicians for half a century has created a mess. We have a choice: continue to do nothing and see the mess grow ever larger OR do something? Now, AGAIN, I don't know if extending and improving the wall will - in an of itself - do much, I just don't have enough information to KNOW, but I rejoice that this is the first president in last half century who seems willing to do SOMETHING, who actually is trying to DO what he promised during the campaign that he'd do (unlike Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Ford, Nixon, Kennedy, Eisenhower and Truman before him) - what a shock, but probably a good one. Trump has nowhere indicated that this is the ONLY thing that will address the issue, he said it will take MUCH more. Maybe he'll be the first in the lifetime of most Americans who actually is going to do more than take, make false/forgotten promises, and make the matter worse? We can HOPE! Because you're right - the longer nothing is done, the more lives are impacted, the more difficult it is.
Your country has an ocean all around it - quite a natural wall - few contries are so lucky.
