Now that Donald Trump is about to be sworn in as USA President should we be afraid that nuclear war will come?

No, I have enough confidence in Lord Jesus' love for us that even if nuclear war develops He will deliver us. Even if we die He will deliver our souls. Do not be afraid of those who can only destroy your body. but, fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in Hell.

It's kind of scary to look at it that way; people dying in large numbers is not a good outcome from an election I reckon.

No. He has kids and grandkids he loves. He won't put them in danger like that.

Yeah, well. We just have to make our calling and election sure...today! Then we wait to see what happens.

He loves his family true. But, he loves his ego, his pride, his self importance more. I pray for him as the Bible tells us to do.

Odd. He's not even president yet and you ALREADY claim that people ARE DYING in LARGE NUMBERS.... Hum. My prediction: NO MATTER WHAT - some will conclude that the US President is responsible for nearly every death that happens in the world over the next 4 years. Maybe every cold and tooth cavity and extra pound they gain, too.

But no, I don't think President Trump is a particular threat for a nuke war: so far, only one person on the planet has used atomic bombs - a Democrat named Harry S Truman, in spite of nearly every US general (including Eisenhower - a future Republican president) counseling him not to. No other - American or otherwise - has yet to follow Truman's example. And I don't think Trump is especially likely to do so. I think if you are going to FEAR (not a good policy for Christians), I'd think your FEAR would be better focused on Kim Jong-un. I think he's probably more likely to use atomic weapons than Trump - but of course, none here at CH can see perfectly into the future and it's never Christian to fear.

- Josiah (who didn't vote for Clinton OR Trump but as an American, accepts that Trump IS our new President of the USA)

Being afraid or not isn't going to change anything. I'm no more worried about nuclear war then I was last week or last year.

Day 1 of Trump's presidency and we have all survived! ;P Nope, I am not afraid of him setting off nuclear devices because he loves his fortune too much to have it blown up.

Donald Trump has been President of the USA for scarcely a day and there's already protests in Europe.
