I asked mostly for gift cards and it was easier for people to ship to me anyway so those aren't going back :)

No, I treasure each gift that is given. Only a couple times I returned anything and that was because it did not work right

I have returned clothing in the past because of style/fit that just didn't work for me. I usually ask my daughter first if she wants it though.

Oh that is smart. My parents just buy something so this year I'm stuck with a too big pants of which my brother asked: hey is that mine? I'll wear it to the office. It is practical lol. The kids said it looked horrible.

I think that friends should get together for a party and bring Christmas present stuff they want to exchange! LOL I think that would be so much fun.

I got a very nice bottle of single malt Scotch whisky. I imagine that over the course of time my liver and kidneys will exchange it for something considerably less desirable :)

I bought my wife a few lightly used items and one of them didn't work as it should have done, so I took it apart and fixed it. Not what I expected to be doing on Christmas morning but a small price to pay to get her what she wanted.

I rarely do but sometimes it's because I don't have time to run out and buy something and it's for a cheesy game at a party to exchange gifts and not for someone important like close family.

As a rule I'd only regift something as a serious gift if I really thought the person would appreciate it, and if I hadn't used it in the meantime. Most of the gifts I exchange with people are token gifts rather than having either of us stressing over what to get and how much to spend, and where token gifts are concerned I have no problem regifting.

Sometimes if someone gives me a really silly gift I'll get them back a year or two later by giving them the exact same item back, wrapped creatively so it's not obvious what it is :)

LOL That reminds me of how my mom would give my dad a card for his birthday and he would barely look at it and go for the cake and ice cream. So she'd give that card again the next year and he never noticed!
