Here's an interesting one, with two consecutive verses apparently giving conflicting advice:

Pro 26:4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Lest you also be like him.
Pro 26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, Lest he be wise in his own eyes.

Do we answer a fool, or not?

Yes with sarcasm, copying the foolish thing he just said. Hey the Bible promotes sarcasm.

If you answer a fool according to his FOLLY, then you lack the wisdom of God to know that it's impossible to give an answer to that FOLLY. It's best to just keep preaching the word of God and ignore stupid fools who don't know who they are IN GOD. While I was preaching the Gospel on the streets of Campbell, CA., a fool who came to challenge God would never get an answer to his stupid questions that were aimed to trick God into being a liar. God can easily get rid of those fools with questions that they can't possibly answer. A fool doesn't have any knowledge called Christ so they wither a way rapidly with questions they can't answer.

There is a proverb that says Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. Maybe there are times when an answer is better than ignoring.

You wouldn't understand this unless you were forced to be a servant of the Lord and witness thousands of people listening to the Gospel we preach to them. There are just as many fools who come to listen to the Gospel as there are chosen believers. It's amazing how God handles the fools by asking them questions and making them look like a fool in front of chosen believers. I witnessed fools running away from the Lord's voice shaking with fear.
