So does anyone know where it is? Left or right?
The last days it's not functioning and I have to stimulate it.
Now I just heard of a collegue who does yoga that you have a dominant nose hole, which switches every few hours, so 2 hours you blow through your left nose hole and then 2 more through your right and she said some people even change the time they eat, to fit with their nose hole, I'm not kidding, I should have put this in technology lol, because if the left is dominant the right part of the brain is temporarily dominant.
So that made me think, once a month it seems like it doesn't function my logical thinking neurone and if it's right then I just put something in my right nose hole the whole day so my left one has to be dominant and that stimulates my right brain side PLUS I don't only get more intelligent and easier to get along with, but it also makes me look more intelligent.

Seriously, I'm gonna try this.

Oh I found it, it's left. See? My theory is right. My right nose hole is full since I was sick last week, so that's where it all started.

Logical thinking neurone? What's the science behind this?

I think your colleague was merely pulling your logical thinking neurone... ;)
But if this person is serious, can they give some info about it? I'd like to see it.

Oh,okay. That I understand. But, you will notice, the logical thinking neurone does not exist for you. Sorry... :D

She was serious about dominant nose holes. I couldn't stop laughing. She learned that in her yoga class, that then the other half of the brain is dominant. That's all she told us. I don't know exactly how scientific her yoga teacher is though.

Which nostril goes straight to the brain?
A:
QUICK ANSWER
Each nostril communicates more directly with a specific hemisphere of the brain, according to Science IQ. Researchers at Monell Chemical Senses Center, which studies the sense of smell, showed in an experiment that the left nostril communicates with the left hemisphere and the right nostril with the right hemisphere.
The left hemisphere contains the brain's dominant language centers, and study participants were slightly better at correctly identifying smells by name when inhaling through the left nostril. When participants inhaled through the right nostril, they considered odors to be more pleasant. That result is because the right hemisphere processes certain kinds of emotions, according to Science IQ.

Yes most google hits I get are yoga stuff. I found one which says the opposite.
There was one regular Western one who discovered too that there was a cycle that you automatically switch every 2, 5 hours.
Terribly interesting. Why am I even looking this nonsense up on google? The reason must be what ImagenaryDay says.

Nose holes...LOL I never knew some of this stuff!

Have you tried it with your kids, Rens (the left/right nose smell test)?

That's too much effort. I just attached an extra memory to my brain. It doesn't have logical neurones either I'm afraid.

If you really want to get the old noodle into shape, study mathematics and physics. Understanding how things work is immensely empowering...it helps keep you from being a dupe. ;)

Make sure to include Tesla in that physics study.

In all seriousness, take up music (if you don't already, I don't know). Just playing it helps to improve spacial reasoning. Composing it involves a mixture of math based logic (for horizontal (time) relationships and vertical (harmony) relationships) and creativity within given frameworks. But don't do it just to be "smart" - do it because it's fun and you love it.

I had that in high school. Even got extra lessons for physics lol. Oh chemistry was fun. I had a real smart friend and I had no idea what she was doing, but thanks to her I got a 9 for our chemistry project (it goes from 1 to 10), so in order to get a 5.5 which would let me graduate I had to have a 3 for my exam. I filled in 10 answers from the 50 or so and then relaxed and did nothing. When my teacher gave me the diploma he said: hmmm well it is that you are already graduated now, otherwise I would have said: couldn't you have put a little more effort in it?
