Ford GT

My reaction?

1.) Overpriced. For that money ($400K) you can have a Lamborghini Aventador (IMHO, a superior car in every respect).

2.) No manual tranny offered...a hypercar with a slushbox is just, well...wrong.

3.) A small twin turbocharged V6 engine? 600+ hp and 500+ lb/ft of torque...what is this...2008? Such a car should have 800+ hp and 700+ lb.ft of torque. I suspect its standing mile numbers will be lackluster.

4.) The styling is fantastic...but the performance numbers are lacking.

What do you think?

In red it would look a bit like that Magnum car.
It looks nice for a modern car, but I like old ones better and they're a lot cheaper now. Here at a Dutch eBay you can get a Mercedes that's 20 years old for free, because they drink so much.

Oh, look, it's a batmobile wannabe in blue! LOL No Manual transmission??? Really? That's the thrill of owning a car like that! Pssh. The price is way too much for what it is.

If I had $400k to drop on a car I'd get a Lambo or maybe an Aston Martin, and probably wouldn't even look at a Ford for the same money.

1. The price is, well, pricey.... but the 2005 Ford GT was also very pricey when it came out and it has gone WAY up ever since, becoming one of the best investments one could make - while owning a Ford GT (a lot more fun than owning a stock, lol). I'll bet MOST buying the new GT are doing so as much as an investment as for one cool car.

2. Automatics ain't what they use to be! Don't think your grandpa's Impala with a powerglide..... Think Porsche 911 with the dual clutch automatic (few 911's are sold with manuals anymore - they just can't perform as well). There is NO WAY any human can shift a manual as quickly or effectively.... modern automatics make for QUICKER and more accurate performance. Check out the times.... the autos are FASTER than manuals! But I agree..... shifting is more fun.

quite an eye catching design that car. exotics are always priced in that range. which I think is an apporpiate price. ive no qualms about said price.
