Ah, 3 hours used to be such a long travel time when my daughter lived that far from me. Now she's so much more and I wish for it to only be 3 hours ago!

One I love driving and two, to see people I love in real face to face it is worth it. There are times I wish computers were never inventer, it seems as though people have lost their ability to effectively communicate civilly in person anymore

For Santa Claus the kids have to buy a present for a kid in school, make a surprise package and a Santa poem.
They have to buy something for a girl LOL and they don't like that. One wants make up so we just bought that and the other wants smurf snot. Tomorrow we must make surprise packages.

I don't really use cell phones. I will take one with me if I am traveling, but basically I don't use them. I hate when I am with someone and they are preoccupied with their cell phone. It is imho rude to talk on the cell phone when you are in company with another person.

Brighten, I agree that if people want to get together they should be together and not on a phone. When my husband and I go out we don't look at our phones unless we need to see the time or in case a family members messages which isn't very often.

speaking of phones, I saw over 2 dozen people all at once converging over pokemon go at a café. and the place was so quiet. miss the good ol days before smartphones..lots of chatter is what I miss.

I agree. I was celebrating my birthday a week later and my friend came over and got on her cell phone and was talking for a half hour on it to her brother. I thought it was so rude and couldn't believe she did that!

I am going to my sis n law's brother's house for Thanksgiving and taking Suzy dog with me. Thom loves Suzy. He sets a place at the table for her!! Really!! It freaks my sis in law out, too..lol I only have a 10 minute drive to get there.

I put up my plastic on the front window last night. Winter is on its way here. Now the birdies won't get a draft. Danny and Alice are so in love. They are inseparable! They spend most of their time in Alice's cage. I leave the door open on both of their cages so they can fly around when they want, even though Alice can't fly yet she will, and they can climb up and down their ladder to their playpen and the floor to run around.

About the friend on the phone, I think I would have stared at her in disbelief with my mouth open until she asked what was wrong!

The birdies are having a great time! You made the right choice to get Alice!
