It is a corrupt anti-democratic system rigged by the republican governors and party officials. The people are oppressed by wicked men. May they be rebuked by God for their wickedness.

Impeach crooked Donald Trump.

:smirk:

Oppressed by wicked men? Of course they are. Perhaps the US should have just stayed under UK rule and not bothered with the new republic at all.

What has Donald Trump got to do with it? He didn't design the electoral college.

Do we get a party if it's 1000,000?

It's estimated to be around two million but estimates can be wrong. I like watching the count numbers as they are made official.

It's nice that they both won something, so the other one doesn't feel left out. Share equally. You win something, I win something.
My mom Always did that when she played tennis and got a point. She'd say: Now it's time for the others to win a point.

When someone from another nation points out the flaw with our presidential election process, I see that as constructive criticism. Monarchs are there via inheritance for the most part (Malaysia is one exception I can think of). Why are we trying to silence anyone who has a criticism of something, even if it is about a nation of which they may not be a citizen? I just don't see the problem here. :dunno:

Non citizens repeatedly spamming the forum with IMPEACH TRUMP aren't offering any constructive criticism but just want to get a rise out of the members as Rens pointed out (here or in the other thread?).

Even though I'm not for the electoral college, I know that the current President elect will not be removed from office due to a difference in the popular vote. Our non citizen friend keeps pushing for it knowing it won't make a change.

1. There was no Republican Party (in fact no parties at all) and no Republicans (crooked or otherwise) when the US Constitution was written and in it the electoral college system was established.

2. If not choosing leaders by popular national majority vote (regardless of borders) is anti-democratic then Australia is a corrupt anti-democratic nation with a corrupt anti-democratic system since neither Malcolm Turnbull or Queen Elizabeth were chosen by popular national majority vote. Me thinks you are showing hypocrisy. Me thinks Jesus' log/speck point applies to you. Me thinks it silly to rebuke a different country for something y0ur own country is even more "guilty" of. Maybe you should be working to correct an even worse example in your own country?

Actually I'm the one mistaken since it was Psalms 91 and not Rens who posted. I'm sorry bill for not checking first!

Impeach crooked Donald Trump and let a less odious candidate take his place, Mike Pence his vice president-elect.

Bernie Sanders would have been a best choice, frankly. The Dems conspired against him, now they're raising him up as the standard bearer. Just don't get it.

Political parties are unimaginative. Their leaders and officials act as if they were statisticians instead of policy makers. Polls, popularity, strategic vote mobilisation is what matters to them. Principles, policy, direct appeal to the voting public gets scant attention. That is why both parties threw up such bad candidates. It is why the election went to a crooked corrupt system manipulated by crooked corrupt state governors. It is why a man as reprehensible as Donald trump is president elect now. His running mate appears to be far better qualified to fill the role of president yet it is crooked Donald Trump who is heading for the white house.

Two points on your election numbers.

1- The extra Hillary votes are essentially from California and New York City. The vast majority of Americans, between the coasts, voted for Trump. That is why he beat her so badly in the electoral votes -- which is what really matters in terms of it being a landslide victory for Trump.

2- There probably were 2-3 million illegals who voted for Hillary -- votes that should not be counted. So, if we count only the votes of American citizens, Trump actually landslided Hillary in the popular vote also.

People across the land -- including MANY DEMOCRATS -- knew who the real "odious candidate" was, which is why Hillary was beaten so badly. Nice words are always entertaining, Coffee, but a person's nose cannot be fooled, including the noses on the Democrats.

The Democrats now hold the FEWEST elected offices, across the nation, since the days when they owned their slaves -- the reconstruction era.

And it is lame people like Hillary AND Sanders, Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Boxer, Obama, etc., that has the party on the brink of extinction if it does not correct its communist-inspired ways.

Highlander, more than 100 million people voted in the 2016 election. The population of NYC a few million, California went for Hillary Clinton 60% or so. Your claim is obviously incorrect. Hillary Clinton received 62,115,634 votes. That is far more than the entire population California and NYC combined. I suspect that you know your claim is absurd.
