We don't celebrate that here luckily. Eating candy is okay. I even eat candy from the muslim neighbours who celebrate some muslim feast.

When I was a kid...... a very, very long time ago..... our parents allowed us to go "trick or treat" (although not permitted to "trick" at all). We were not allowed to dress as anything scary or demonic so we dressed up as some superhero or whatever. ALL it meant to me was candy. And the fun of being out with friends (actually, my parents and sibs ate most of my candy because I've never been too much into sweets). We were forbidden to do that after 12. I really wasn't aware of the "history" of all this - in Europe or the US - that came much later.

My wife, however, was forbidden from this as a girl. Her parents stressed the "dark" history of this. They had candy for the kids who came to the door (they didn't just turn the porch light off and not participate). Instead, they gave my wife and her sibs each some special treat they requested - simply because they were loved.

Since we have no kids (yet, anyway) this isn't something we've discussed yet.

Where I used to live it was a great community time! Trick or Treating meant visiting neighbors and having them visit you and getting to take a few moments to talk and catch up. It was always like a party and I enjoyed the fun of it.

Here where I live now we get less than 20 kids. Most of the kids come alone (meaning not with parents) since we live in a cul de sac so I don't get to talk to the neighbors but the children are really sweet.

I love Halloween and scary movies. I don't feel that it's celebrating evil but being aware that it exists.

The USA tradition appears to be pagan & demonic at the same time. It is also super-hero infested. Fairy infested. And weird at most levels :p

Halloween is not demon infested and the woman in the video seems to be seriously overstating the case.

To each his own but know that it is pagan inspired and has evil connotations including sacrifice, this is a high holy day night for satanists

My pastor spoke briefly yesterday about Halloween. He said that people are saying it has Pagan origins, yet the Pagans are on a Lunar calendar and the Christian All Hallow's Eve is on the solar calendar so no, they are not the same holiday.

I can assure you, she is not overstating... she is sharing things shared with her by ones who have experienced satanic ritual abuse.

The eve is properly called All hallows eve it is is (in more recent English) also called all saints day. The customs in the USA appear to have roots in English folk tradition which probably has pagan roots.

I can't demonize anything. I'm a person. The reason I posted the videos is because the original poster asked a question and I figured if someone is asking the question, they want the truth. Also, my experience is that it is a time that much evil takes place, including animal and human sacrifice. :( No, I did not choose it... I was born into it as a child.

I suppose this site, like most other "Christian" sites is fully of bullies... why is it that people who name the name of Christ are the most hateful? I don't get it. :(

I find kinder people coming out of the occult... when they find Jesus, they are the most amazing servants of Jesus Christ, and have the most compassionate hearts, because they know what evil is... and then to taste and see that the Lord is good... totally transforms hearts!!

But here, I can already see cold hearts abound.... I am sorry... I don't know why I came here....

Everyone wants acceptance... I don't think the "church" is all it's cracked up to be. I don't think what most call the church is truly the church. If it is... wow, how sad...

What I wish is that I could be myself, and be accepted by those who say they love God. I wish people knew how amazing He is... rather than talking about Him, to experience relationship with Christ.... rather than attacking their brothers and sisters, maybe knowing and loving Him would extend into being more loving and compassionate toward others.... ?
