Do you know when your baptismal birthday is? Does it mean much to you?

My baptismal anniversary and my birth anniversary are the same - making it easy to remember. I was baptized (with an eyedropper) literally within seconds of my birth (by C-section)..... a result of the high possibility of death.

I think of my baptism as a kind of adoption..... my Christian birthday.... the heaven's opening and the Father saying, "this is my son, whom I love."

I was 4 when I was baptized (my mom was waiting to find the right church???). There is a great possibility someone in the hospital baptized me (I have no proof) because I wasn't breathing when I was born and I was rushed out of the room for a while away from my mother. Who knows what happened? My sister claims the real baby died and I was adopted...from Hawaiian natives. That always made me cry until I was a teenager and then I loved the thought! LOL

I do not celebrate my baptismal birthday but I do remember it well and it was a fantastic event like none other. I don't talk of my experiences much, but there was one during that time.

I was baptised in California at The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. I was baptised again at a local Baptist church (this baptism was not necessary but it happened). When I became a Catholic either of my baptisms was accepted as valid Christian baptism so I needed no third baptism and no provisional baptism. I do not have a precise date for the baptism in the Lutheran church hence I do not celebrate any specific date for that event.

I'm not quite sure, but I was baptized in a small church named after Saint George in Greece. :D

Baptised as an infant in the Presbyterian church, then again in the Pentecostal church in February, 2001. If I knew what I know now, I never would have let them touch me the second time.

I got baptized in 2014, I think my baptismal birthday is a reminder to my salvation in Christ.

Making the sign of the cross with blessed water is a reminder of one's baptism.
