I have had some experiences where I feel this is true and will tell them later on. Do you believe this or not?

I tend to think that a mind is an emergent property of a brain, and once a brain ceases to function upon death, the mind is gone. In the future, it may be possible to extract a mind from a brain within a certain time period after death, but for now I think once a person dies their mind is gone, and no essence of their mind continues to exist.

I heard of it when someone died that they came to bring them to heaven, cloud of witnesses around us. A brother of a friend saw his dad wave at him when he went to heaven.

No, I do not think this happens. There is a gulf between the dead and those still living

I don't believe that people who have died return to visit the living as "ghosts" because the evil spirits want to deceive us and make us believe that God has abandoned us in death. The evil spirits know our lives and know how to mimic us.

One morning about 3 am Dec 23, 1986 I was asleep and awoke to a feeling of a force pulling me gently to get up and so I walked all the way to the front door and the force seemed to be familiar and full of love. I felt these feelings very strongly then once at my door they departed.

Later that day I found out that my little sister died at that time so I believe she was not totally gone yet but was leaving and saying goodbye to me. Nothing anyone says will make me think differently so please don't bother. It's a memory I treasure.

Hey Ruth, I have family members who believe they have been visited by departed loved ones in various ways, and all I have is my opinion on their claims, which I keep to myself unless asked (I think they know what my opinion would be anyway), and I wouldn't tell them they are wrong, because I can't. :D

I've had dreams about my departed (dead to be blunt but somehow departed sounds nicer) mother. Most of them are very nice. I do not think of them as a visit from beyond the grave. Just as a pleasant dream that brings back fond memories.

What can I say, I do believe in spirits and I have had visits from them, good and evil.

I have had some experiences where I feel this is true and will tell them later on. Do you believe this or not?

Ecclesiastes 9:

For the living know that they will die,
but the dead know nothing;
they have no further reward,
and even their name is forgotten.
6
Their love, their hate
and their jealousy have long since vanished;
never again will they have a part
in anything that happens under the sun.

Job 14:12 So man lies down and does not rise.

Till the heavens are no more,

They will not awake

Nor be roused from their sleep.

---

According to these two verses:

Dead know nothing
They have no part in anything under the sun
All hate, jealousy, love is gone

They have no future reward - until - the heavens are no more - they will not be roused from their sleep.

The resurrection of the dead that the bible speaks of is at the second coming of Christ. Until then, they know nothing, can do nothing, can feel nothing.

As for memories and feelings among the living - those associated with the dead - those are very real, but they do belong to the living, not the dead. In my personal experience, they can also be misused by familiar spirits.

Do you believe in Angels? What about the Holy Spirit?

My faith may be different than yours.
