Most times during prayer or worship I find myself in tears. For years I've never understood this and I've plucked up the courage to ask if anyone else cries when they pray or cries during worship? What does it mean?

It's meaning depends on why you cry. Examine yourself when you cry in prayer maybe you will discover why you cry.

Sincerity and acknowledgement of the grace of GOD and ones own seeming inability to conform to the will of GOD.

I cry silently at services and really that is one of the main reasons I don't go too much. People tend to look at you like you are nuts.

Peace

The beauty and truth of the word of GOD can easily cause tears, though not much else can.... Strange.

Good question, I would like to speak about it more.

I have heard some call it the gift of tears, but I'm not sure I see it as a gift so much as verification of direction or lack thereof.

Peace

Normally I do not cry when I pray but if I'm really hurting about something and praying I might cry. God wants us to pray at all times and that means praying when we have all kinds of emotions as well such as fear, anger, love and sadness.

I certainly have cried in prayer..... and rarely in worship. It's not a common thing for me, but yes - it happens.

I cry so rarely that it's almost nonexistent other than occasionally during church service. Of course it's not a full out cry but more of a catch in the throat and tearing up of the eyes. I think it's a release of emotion that's very healing for the soul.

I used to almost always cry in church. Bought waterproof mascara for it, because once my ex introduced me to an old friend and my face was black. Nowadays I behave.
