This great hymn by Josiah Conder has verses which include:

'Thou art the everlasting Word,
The Father's only Son,
God manifestly seen and heard
And heaven's beloved One.

(Refrain: ) Worthy O Lamb of God art Thou,
That every knee to Thee should bow.

But the high mys'tries of Thy Name
An angel's grasp transcend,
The Father only (glorious claim!)
The Son can comprehend.

Throughout the universe of bliss
The centre Thou and sun,
Th' eternal theme of praise is this
To heaven's beloved One:

('Worthy...', etc.)'

I love this hymn, with strongly Scriptural content! :)

Audi, benigne Conditor

Audi, benigne Conditor, Nostras preces *** fletibus,
In hoc sacro jejunio Fusas quadragenario.

Scrutator alme cordium, Infirma tu scis virium:
Ad te reversis exhibe Remissionis gratiam.

Multum quidem peccavimus, Sed parce confitentibus:
Ad nominis laudem tui, Confer medelam languidis.

Concede nostrum conteri Corpus per abstinentiam,
Culpae ut relinquant pabulum Jejuna corda criminum.

Praesta beata Trinitas, Concede simplex Unitas:
Ut fructuosa sint tuis Jejuniorum munera. Amen.

Audi, benigne Conditor

O Kind Creator, how Thine ear; Mark Thou our prayer and contrite tears, Unto Thy throne of mercy raised,
Through holy fast of forty days.
Our hearts are open before Thee, Searcher of our infirmity; Now as we turn to seek Thy face,
Pour down on us redeeming grace.
As sinners we offend indeed, Yet spare those who still trust in Thee; And for the honor of Thy name,
Our languid souls to life reclaim.
Let now the body be put down; By sense and sin the same unowned: We ask of Thee, do Thou concede,
That fasting hearts from vice recede.
Grant, O most Holy Trinity, One undivided Unity,
That by the bodies' fasting blest, Thy faithful souls in Thee may rest. Amen.
