That is true, or there would be not conversions if it was only for believers. Because of God's gift of faith, though it be a mustard seed, it will bring people to Yeshua by faith inspired by God.
I am reminded of what the Lord said about those who knew nothing about the bible faith, but still are obedient to the truth to the amount that they know. Every human on the planet earth has a code of conduct regarding lying, stealing, bearing false witness, cheating, disrespecting their family members etc to varying degrees, and that is because God instilled it in them. "They hear His voice and follow Him".

i wish that were fully correct albeit is partially .
but think about it .. Every human on the planet earth has a code of conduct regarding lying, stealing, bearing false witness, cheating, disrespecting their family members etc to varying degrees, and that is because God instilled it in them. but they twist that code into into earthly comparisons .. for example if enough people co-habitat (defacto marriage ) then they change their code of conduct to compare with the actions of the majority .. etc . but those who hear His voice and follow Him- change their thinking toward god (repent )and renew their mind to AGREE with HIM , rather then agreeing with the earthly majority- and do not do that unrighteous work .

I think that God's code of conduct is unnatural to those of the old creation and that it takes a conscious decision on the part of the believer in wanting to do His will before it becomes an automatic part of the new nature to act accordingly. I suppose I'm talking about the finer points like angry thoughts etc. There's alot of good that belongs to the old nature but like the tree of good and evil it's unacceptable to God unless brought under the Holy Spirit's control.

And that is the evidence of the influence of sin.

:) yes and the repentance ..changing the thinking , and doing what is right is the evidence of rightousness.

Repentance and obedience is an ability graciously made available by god.it brings forth rightousness only if it is adhered to.

Unrepentance (refusing to change ones mind and cease evil actions) and disobedience are intheselves rebellion and Unrightousness.

But praise god ..you know this :)

Wow!!!

Now I understand.
You'll know them by their fruits.

Peace be with you and understanding of the word and please, do it. I see so much love oozing from some of our posters here, really imitating Jesus.

Your post can be taken in a good way and in a bad way. I certainly hope you weren't purposely trying to put down members here? Jesus died for those sins too but maybe you don't see that it's a sin to not treat your neighbor with love all the time?

Did Christ die for the sins of people who do not believe in him?

Like you said it. Is up to you to decide if it was good or if it was bad.

People put themselves down with what they say and it shows their attitude.
Like another brother said it, think for a moment before you write whatever you want to present. Writing gives you more time than when you are talking.

In this that you presented, is to you to decide:

Good or Bad???

Jesus did a little better than the High Priest would do it once a year for the children of Israel. (Leviticus 16:33-34)

He did it for the whole world, believers and unbelievers, it is grace.

It is a 🎁 that he presents to everyone but you have to acept it.

Now for salvation, you have to go through Him. You have to believe Him.

So an unbeliever may change his attitude and may start believing in Him.

Actually not really. It's more up to us to let the reader be certain we aren't being condescending. So as a staffer I'm telling you to make it clear in your posts and play nice. Don't play games here with your wording, it's not Christ like.

Yes but those who don't believe don't benefit from His death and resurrection.

1 John 2:2
He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours alone, but also for the sins of the whole world.

I'm not playing games with my words. Is your perception.
Is always the problem with how we interpret anything written.

There is another thread where that is happening. I say tomato an you say tomato, depends on the pronunciation. But this thread is about the OP and a staffer is discussing something else. High jacking a thread???

I'm not sure how that works, can you explain how Christ died for them but they don't receive a benefit while at the same time God alone works the salvation of sinners?

Faith.

Salvation is by grace through faith. Faith grasps onto the atonement...the Savior...the forgiveness.

Those who reject do not receive it.

Accept or reject is our choice regarding what Yeshua has done for us.

It looks as if you're both saying that one has to DO something BEFORE God saves you and if you fail to DO it you will not be saved by God. Yet Lämmchen (at least) has expressed the idea that God alone acts in saving one from one's sins. God alone acts implies that one does nothing absolutely nothing for one's own salvation.

We do absolutely nothing for our salvation and that is why GOD is our Savior.

Okay, that is what you say. does it mean that one need not believe to be saved or do you have something to say about faith that means faith is something God does and that people do not do?

Our believing doesn't give us salvation. We believe because we receive faith in order to believe. Faith that grasps onto the Savior I'll add.
